Zoo Tycoon on steam/console etc is alright. I enjoyed it. If you enjoyed the original, you'd like that. It's made by the same people as the original Zoo Tycoon along with Frontier Development

There's also Planet Zoo which was then made after Zoo Tycoon which Frontier made alone.

During my school days I was the lad everyone used to seek out for hooky games - I'd strip the music etc out so stuff would run 'portable' style on a 720 or 1.44 3.5" floppy as thats what was on offer around school - favourites were Sim City, Prince of Persia, F29 Retaliator, Comanche Overkill, Lemmings and several others which excape my memory.

I had a fire breathing (for the time) 486 with twin CD Rom burners and multiple floppy and hard drives in my bedroom with a modem. I could churn out stuff at quite the pace. I remember using the schools county council dialup facility to access BBS services to download cracked games if they were in any way protected. ALso had a healthy sideline in ASCII art generation and MOD file music discs.

I used to be on Gaiaonline when I was 14.

Had a Neopets account too. Pray for my pet.

My father bought me Themepark which I loved.

Not a computer game and not that old. A phone app. Quizup I used to love it, randomly thought about it last night and found out it was discontinued I was excited to play it again

Bringing back some good memories

- Stardom, your quest for fame (such a good game you have to work your way up to a star by doing diff challenges and quiz battles against colleagues to get promoted but you can also get demoted)
- Sims
- babyz, catz, dogz etc
- Diva starz dolls (think it was on the pc)
- Sabrina the teenage witch pc game was so good, you had to do different tasks to get your witches license
- Pop idol think it was on playstation was so fun

- OurWorld
- Neopets
- Habbo hotel

I still play toontown from time to time.
Although I miss the original disney one. They did the best they could with Toontown Rewritten. It is almost identical

Carmen Sandiego - I played that in school and loved it. Never had access to it after school though and never completed it. Also loved the original Zoo Tycoon. Apparently they're is a new version on mobile or Steam but the reviews say it's not like the original and best avoided. I'd love to play the original again. Age of Empires and Age of Mythology were great too.

I feel very old school as my first memories go back to Lemmings and Shufflepuck Cafe on the Amiga.

On the PC, I remember Zoombinis, Sim City, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Pharaoh, Age of Empires.

Online I was active on Neopets, my Blumaroo can probably legally drink now.

You can get Rollercoaster tycoon as an app, you have to pay for it but it’s good.

I think the first PC game I ever played was at school in the mid-late 90s called Chips Challenge.

Friend found a floppy disc of original Leisure Suit Larry where you had to type commands in. Paved the way for me to discover Police Quest too. So fun but ridiculously hard without walkthroughs back in the day!

The Sims was a revelation at the time. Still like to play Sims 3 now.

Absolutely loved the Desperate Housewives game despite never watching the series!

I was trying to remember an old game the other day. I’m sure it was on iVillage when that was still around, and it was a virtual cruise where you went on dates with other players. I think it was mostly text based. Me and my friends used to talk to some of the creeps on there and I’m sure I added a few on MSN.

Newgrounds was also really popular in my school. There were quite a few controversial games like a cartoony school shooting game and ones where you could kill celebrities. Also lots of dress up games which were obviously more aimed at people who really wanted to see a fake poorly photoshopped nude of Britney or Christina.

Two Point Campus is also made by them. But just a college instead of a Hospital

I had that too but I think you just have to adjust the wall height.

I place low walls deliberately now. And mix different species together in one enclosure and have a little tourist train go through it so tourists can see the massacre first hand

Want to have a bash at programming (probably in assembly, well likely will be that I'd have thought lol) a game in a console using an emulator would be interesting and cut out a load of hardware headaches and be able to port things maybe even between different ones (got DOSBox but lol).

What about msn games? The charming Holly Valance game was so random. Me and a fiend always played the quiz game
