Old online/offline computer games

During my school days I was the lad everyone used to seek out for hooky games - I'd strip the music etc out so stuff would run 'portable' style on a 720 or 1.44 3.5" floppy as thats what was on offer around school - favourites were Sim City, Prince of Persia, F29 Retaliator, Comanche Overkill, Lemmings and several others which excape my memory.

I had a fire breathing (for the time) 486 with twin CD Rom burners and multiple floppy and hard drives in my bedroom with a modem. I could churn out stuff at quite the pace. I remember using the schools county council dialup facility to access BBS services to download cracked games if they were in any way protected. ALso had a healthy sideline in ASCII art generation and MOD file music discs.

Not a computer game and not that old. A phone app. Quizup I used to love it, randomly thought about it last night and found out it was discontinued I was excited to play it again

I set up a website using Geocities and advertised it as Free Neopets Rare Items and created a form which asked for your Neopets password (internet safety not so hot back then) and username…clicking the submit button would email the details to me and I’d log into their account and clear all their stuff and send it to myself 🫢

I used to also like the games: Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, Giana Sisters, Sonic, Fast Food Dizzy, Mega Bomberman, Mouse Impossible, Theme Park, Theme Hospital, New Zealand Story, James Pond: Robocod, loads more I can’t remember

I still play neopets 🫣 I created a new account while on mat leave in 2020 and go on everyday to play food club and trudy's surprise even my oldest is like 'mum, you're 36 years old why are you playing on neopets?!'
