After some advice for oily hair. Preferably would love a knowledgable hairdresser to comment. I tried googling but the info is overwhelming.

As I’m getting older my hair is changing and becoming more oily. Realistically I have to wash my hair every 3rd day now, even sometimes by end of day 2 it starts looking bad. I have long fine hair that knots easily and there is a lot of hair, it looks thin due to the fineness but loads of hair!

I’m using Tresseme and have like a hair massager I use every other time to try and lift the debris etc from my hair. Also our water is hard and my water pressure at home is not great.

The only times I feel my hair is really clean is when I go to the hairdresser.

Can anybody recommend a product(s) routine to help the situation.

I’m not a hairdresser but have similar oily hair although it’s really heavy which means I fiddle with it a lot so it gets more greasy. My hairdresser recommended this from Kérastase and said that it’s really worth investing in a higher-end product if you want to see results. She wasn’t trying to sell me anything specifically but when I told her I usually choose what’s on offer at Sainsbury’s she looked horrified!
Aveda also have nice products which rebalance the scalp.

Thanks I’ll have a look. I don’t mind spending the money if my hair just looks better 😬
