Please share your favourite office gossip stories so I can sit with a glass of wine and lap it all up

One of my faves was when one of the admin girls where I used to work who was 20 at the time ended up in bed with the MD’s brother after the Christmas party. He was pushing 50. He had shares in the company so he was always around and would never miss a company piss up. But anyways 9 months later we get an all staff email congratulating her on the birth of her baby boy...he never came to another Christmas party again

Biggest scandal was my main boss was caught on cctv shagging a manager in the office
both parties are (still) married and it’s amusing watching them avoid each other at work

only other juicy goss was a male co-worker coming out as trans (I’d known for ages but was asked to stay quiet so I did)
he came out when he was spotted at a bus stop wearing a dress

god my work is so boring apart from the odd teen pregnancy and someone’s broken up with someone else

Two colleagues (one male 50s one female early 20s) used to like to get in the office early in the morning. One was a cyclist and would get changed in the open plan office and female colleague would see him naked everyday. He would even hang his sweaty boxers on the radiator to dry .

A complaint went in that female member of staff didn’t like seeing naked colleague every morning. Male colleague didn’t understand the issue and one morning was escorted from the building

During my time working for an IT company, I did come across a rather stuck-up PA for a departmental manager bean-flicking herself in one of the cubicles of the ladies loos one evening when I was working a night-shift.

I knew it was her even though I never actual saw her because she had a distinctive voice and a nagging squealing giggle. She was clearly getting off thinking of her boss, judging by her mumbling and groaning.

Could never quite keep a straight face talking to her after that

There’s a woman in her 60s who has a very big fondness of a lad who is 23. They’ve always been friends and I thought nothing of it. I’m close to him so said to him you and.. let’s call her Sue... have been very close recently and then he showed me messages that she had sent him on Facebook that are sooo weird!!! She tried to get him to go for a meal with just her that she would pay for saying that she would “wine and dine him at Buckingham palace if she could” and when they went on holiday (separately lol) she said “we have to compare tan lines... now that would be flirting!!”. She always calls him a “gem” and says that he’s the best part of the job. He finds it so weird but was friends with her so finds it awkward. I occasionally look at the screenshots just to have a chuckle but now whenever I see them talking in work it’s so weird!!! She also always cooks for him and will bring him in breakfast rolls or portions of food for his lunch.. or will nip to M&S and just buy him something. So weird.

Sorry I have never ending stories

2020 story.... work colleague seems distracted, lives alone during lockdown and always in the city centre apartment on daily zoom calls.

Turns out work colleague has had been using a fake background of her apartment on teams calls and has been illegally travelling to New York (via Mexico) and other countries over the course of the year.

Found out via public Instagram account and sacked remotely via management

Omg I have loads - need to remember all the best ones. First one which springs to mind was there was a woman on my team who was seeing one of the married directors who had kids. He broke up with his wife for her and then she met someone else - they both remained on the team for a really long time and everyone knew about it but no one said anything!

I was part of grad scheme in a big City firm so there were loads of untoward things going on haha. One of my fave stories is some new grads at * big unnamed Canary Wharf bank * who went out on a night out and ended up coming back to the office afterwards. Their offices had a gym and a pool and they were awoken the next morning by one of the directors who was up for an early morning swim and found them asleep on one of the pool loungers

I’m wracking my brains, but Aside from the usual affairs and debauchery at Xmas dos, not much I can think of. Well, nothing without outing myself.

I worked in an Estate Agents when I was teenager, it was a family run business and the main bosses son was the manager for our office. He was nice enough, expect he would come in every morning and do the smelliest tit imaginable that would stink the whole office out. It was only a small office with a tiny kitchen and toilet, so was hard to get from that. He also used to wipe his a with newspaper which then blocked the toilet. It wasnt unusual to find bits of The Sun floating in the loo after he’d been in. I suppose that’s the best use for The S*n though.

Another member of staff was caught running an entertainer agency online during work time on a works computer, he had also recruited some of the junior members of staff to be on it

I do have one. From way back when I was in sales.

One of our consultants was dealing with a big, big company in the Middle East. He screen grabbed something to send to them and forgot he had a porn hub tab open. Fail.

My boss was having a long term affair with one of the managers at work. when I say everyone knew, literally everyone at work knew. Their partners didn’t seem to know but they were so sloppy it was amazing they didn’t get caught out.
I caught them together on a good handful of occasions, at work and in public. I caught them in the pub, caught them parked in his car outside work, caught them at Christmas parties, oh my god the list goes on he wasn’t in the office every single day but when he was, oh boy we knew about it cause her skirts were suddenly shorter and she always wore sexy blouses. When he wasn’t due in the office, she looked like a tramp it was hilarious.
it went on for a good 8 years, it cooled down a lot earlier this year because I think someone caught them out and threatened to tell their partners. Got no idea if it’s still going on now as their job role means they work from home.

We had a member of staff who was a porn star. Once she was found out (her husband was too, and he was a z list celeb so it was in the papers) she quit. She was a stuck up cow.

Where I work is quite boring but there was an affair a while ago. An older manager was seeing a younger woman, both married. They would go into toilets on work's time and get it on. Both got sacked for stealing company time. It made the papers twice, first time was anonymous leak and the second time it was because he went missing after he was sacked. My partner's work is much more interesting. Quite a lot of drug taking, visiting prostitutes, all having affairs, usually this is the men. However, there is one girl who works there, in her 20s, is married and has cheated on her husband several times, once (as in full on affair, not one night stand) with an obese man in his 60s. Her dad also works there and he found out! There is an ex marine working there who wants to fight everyone when he's had a drink, comes into work telling everyone he was fighting at the weekend, quite often with family members. There was another fella who drove a truck and he had a girlfriend in our area and another in the North East, he was living a double life. I don't know where they get the energy

In my last retail job, my coworker (makes €10 an hour, 40 hours a week) and paid for her live-in, still married, boyfriend's rent and CHILD MAINTENANCE because he was “broke.” and "getting back on his feet". He also worked for us as a relatively new hire, but in another branch. One of the really nice guys working in that branch pointed out to my co-worker that when they went out for staff drinks, her boyfriend was buying drinks for everyone and something seemed amiss. A few days later, she came into work fuming. She 'found' a bank receipt of his.. he had €17k in his current account!!
