She prob has a 0.1% cash ISAEven if she had a house or car - real estate only appreciates in value if you have it long enough / build equity on it, and cars lose significant value the moment they come off the lot. To play devils advocate, even if she were in the stock market, it's not as if you can use your funds there like a checking account. The money needs to be in there for years to accumulate any real value, and when you take any money out there is a fee, so it wouldn't be wise to do that. Either she's been invested in stocks from the time she was 13, or she is "invested" in her parents doing well. I also am not trying to tear her down nor do I want what she has. I have a Masters degree and I do well without my mummy and daddy
