Poor Phil. She's effectively abandoned him, and placed a huge burden on those children's shoulders.

Don't believe for one minute moving out can solve the problem. Phil will always have the threat of seizures over him. Being taught coping mechanisms, procedures to work through, and understanding feelings so they can be rationalized is what is needed; running away won't fix this.

When maria returns home nothing will have changed. Poor Phil, he's now reliant on taxis and others to get around. I hope those children don't have to deal with a seizure. That's adulting stuff, but the only other adult they could have trusted to deal with the situation, has run away, how scary this must be in their minds, this can be so traumatizing for them all.
This would be a deal breaker for me. I’d be so gutted that my partner couldn’t handle when I’m going through a really scary and difficult time and not be able to give me the support I needed. Imagine if the tables were turned and it was her with the seizures and Phil said “no deal” and ran away because it was too stressful or scary for him. I just couldn’t imagine doing that to my other half.

Man. Watching Maria's stories it just strikes me HOW different people's emotional/mental capacity is. Like, I fully believe her, and understand that for whatever reason, she is not at all coping with life. Even though she has almost zero external pressure to deal with on a day to day basis, her kids are old enough to do most things for themselves, she does not have a job that she has to be at, her financial needs are taken care of by her husband, she has a home, she has her own car to use, she has hours of free time every day to relax and do what she wants.

And yet, her brain has found a way to render this life overwhelming. I actually have a deep empathy for her sense of helplessness because it's just so obviously unreasonable, so there's obviously something deeply wrong.

But fark man, I have a much deeper empathy for Phil and the kids, because man they need support too.

Charlie Kirk has quite a large following in NZ. I’ve followed for years. Then yesterday had a random conversation at work with someone who I never expected to know him and she was telling me all about him - and I keep my political viewpoint right out of my work space! So you never know, and may be surprised at who believes in the right to free speech.
Nah, I don’t agree with that at all. Plenty of NZ believes in free speech. Just not hate speech. And sadly, there is a chunk of NZ falling deeply for the fascist grift and mistaking it for free speech. Charlie Kirk said some disgustingly racist, transphobic and bigoted things in his effort to blur the lines between hate speech and free speech. I don’t support the way he died, I think it was horrible and will cause a bigger mess, whether he was killed by a left winger angry at his bigotry or by a right winger angry about his Epstein stance (and at the rate the FBI are going, we’ll never find out which).

But I stand by my comment that most of NZ hadn’t heard of him until yesterday. He’s just well known in certain online echo chambers. Maria certainly could have heard of him, god knows she’s online enough. But she’s had her head in smut books for years, so I’m surprised 😂

Quite often those flights can be full and it's not always possible for people to move seats. Comparing economy seats on any aircraft there's really not a huge difference in seat width between them. An extra inch isn't going to mean she suddenly fits so this is such a a cop out. It's just rude and entitled and quite frankly dangerous for the person stuck next to her. Most people would normally be embarrassed to know people have asked to move seats not brag about it.

They shouldn't have to ask to be moved, she should have had the courtesy to book another seat. This is so selfish. She is aware she is obese, yet makes it everyone else's problem.

If I pay for a seat, I don't want to have to squash up because the person next to me is spilling over two seats. I've paid for a seat, not like a train or a bus where standing passengers are acceptable. They are effectively taking half of my seat for free. Wrong.

Listening to RK’s podcast episode on 2x speed lol, she has a lot of interesting points but her voice is so annoying! Rocky has had a mental health crisis and ended up in Starship and they’re moving back to CHC in 2 weeks to be home with him, Jared staying in AKL to finish his course

sounds like he’s always been an anxious kid, fancy uprooting his life like they did knowing that… 😬

What an interesting vision of life and family Maria's therapist must have.

Quote "I love my therapist, she is just 100% Team Maria. She was like, 'Phil can sort himself out, he's an adult'..."

Imagine if Phil was also going to a therapist right now to help him deal with the unknown of having seizures and not being able to drive, and he was working with a therapist who was "100% Team Phil" advising him to just do whatever he needed and drop whatever he needed to drop because "Maria can sort herself out, she's an adult..."

Let me get this straight, so Brodie Kane is doing a "tour" to "make money" to line her own pocket...yet Air NZ flights and her hotels are all free. Fuck me days.
I'd prefer AirNZ did flights for important things like Drs, Nurses etc

LFYD “I have an ad coming out tonight and it’s bad timing cos it’s about food but you know I submitted it for approval on the 29th of June”

Oh so the children in Gaza weren’t starving on the 29th June? Like let’s not make fake apologies and pretend to care.

Emma from Get Good Face is also now on Ritalin. Its a trend .
A genuine diagnosis isn’t a trend. And Ritalin is the standard first medication to begin with, so it makes sense.
It makes sense to me that a bunch of the influencers have ADHD, their chaotic nature is part of why they get so many followers. The rate is probably higher among influencers than the general population. Plus the varied life of an influencer probably appeals to the adhd mind.

the fact that so many of them are shitty and selfish is just a coincidence. And Ritalin ain’t going to be fixing that any time soon 😂

We were in Welly over the weekend and we bought a biscoff swirl and wow it was Devine. The store looked clean and is cute.
I love this comment. Like we can be snarky at dumb shit influencers post but when we see someone who is genuinely working hard we can appreciate them regardless of their past. No one is going to report on that though are they
