Any nostalgia, spanning any time, for anything (y)

Cider ice lollies. They were really nice. Haven't saw them in decades.

There's been an amazing 80s Christmas nostalgia post doing the rounds on Facebook recently. All the stuff that your parents or nan would have had when you were growing up (if you are as old as me).

Oddfellows aromatic sweets, Tudor crisps, cans of Bacon Grill - a treat way back when but tastes foul now, Radio Luxembourg.

Aromatherapy machines of the 90's. Looked similar to a smoke alarm
You soaked your small cotton filter pad with one of the essential oils of your choice that came in the package and place it in the machine which heated it up and dispersed the aroma into the air for you to inhale and supposedly calm you/ relax you/energise you, etc, which in reality never did.
I could have saved myself £10 and just stuck a fabric conditioner sheet down the back of the radiator 😭

I had an ioniser, I even took it into work! - they were such a thing in the 90s. My boss looked at me like I was mad 😆

Going to superdrug or boots to get your photos developed :ROFLMAO: some poor sod in a dark room had to waste an hour dunking your snaps in developer, fixer, rinse and dry them off just for you to see your pictures

Supposed to charge the air with positive ions, like you’d get near the sea, plus it purifies the air, the wall behind would get dirty! Mine was shaped like a black pyramid
😯 it must have worked then
I wonder if people still use them now?
But I'm guessing it was just a trend of the time. It must have been the counter culture with ions, feng shui, aromatherapy etc to what was a time of excess in many ways with consumerism, clubbing, fast food, smoking. But I suppose these wellbeing gadgets could also be in the consumerism culture category too!
