That’s what the manipulative gov want you to believe.it’s clearly working!
I’ve known he was a bleep for years, long before the current administration, long before tattle was a glint in its founder’s eye 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t think asylum seekers/immigration is the only problem by any means. But it’s obvious the government/media are trying to convince us it’s not a problem at all- which is why people feel they’re being lied to and feel Nigel is at least honestly connecting with them around the issue.
If Starmer for example even admitted it’s a bit of an issue and developed a robust plan to help with it he may even take some support away from Nige…

It wouldn't take support away from Nigel because they want to hear someone coming out with xenophobic/racist bull that sits in perfectly with their prejudices.

The thing is though is that it’s the scale of these issues. Xenophobia is something like not trusting the one Polish or Caribbean family down the street because they’re foreign, which would be, of course, intolerant and silly. It’s not being concerned about millions of foreigners coming in which puts a huge strain on our resources. People have a right to be concerned about that.

Funny how many of those complaining about it come from immigrant stock, be it first generation or second generation.

That may be but my post was referring to the electorate. You’re still invested in him all these years later so my earlier point stands, he can hold the public interest, good or bad!

I thought your original point was that he was the only opposition in the commons?

Not quite sure how being a lying, attention seeking, grifting bleep makes him that?

It ain't asylum seekers who've run this country down - look to various Tory governments who've depleted many public services and flogged much of the UK's infrastructure off over the years.

And then, of course, they point to the various people coming from the EU saying "They're why the country's turned to tit".

And millions of mugs fell for it.

Exactly. Reform have no clue. They're good at making comments from the sidelines because they know they have no realistic chance of being in government.

Like with Brexit which turned out to be a disaster. Something Farage was the face of. Yet when it comes to the practical implementation it was completely ballsed up and all he was able to say is "I wouldn't have Brexited like that."

It was Blair created the low wage economy that will never recover in our lifetime.

It was a thread of posts which originated from your original comment that he was the opposition which seemed to be based on your argument that he gets lots of press attention. I don’t agree with that.

Like it or not, the conservatives are the opposition, that’s how the HoC works, Reforms 5 MPs don’t make Farage the leader of the opposition.

Nigel Farage isn’t interested in representing his constituents, i.e.his actual job as an MP, he’s just interested in finding anything he can to undermine the government, in lining his own pockets and throwing out soundbites and downright lies.

Tories created the low wage economy.
Blair created a false economy reliant on cheap foreign labour.

Farage lying isn’t an opinion, it’s a verifiable fact.

I don’t understand why how people see Starmer as exactly the same is relevant to the point that Nigel Farage isn’t the opposition in the HoC, it seems akin to a straw man argument.

I honestly thought the point of tattle was to state opinions.

Blair created a false economy reliant on cheap foreign labour.
Through most of the 1960s and 1970s the share of UK national income paid out as wages was between 58% and 61%, but in the Thatcher years it declined rapidly and hit a low in the late 1990s of 52%. The share paid out in profits to private companies increased correspondingly.
