O.M.G  want!
It's definitely been his year, amazing in his new post, going from strength to strength. Just shows that hard work pays offfff :)
A great lesson for all his young fans who will be voting for him once they are of legal age if the mock election results are to be believed. I wonder why Sir Kier decided not to lower the voting age? 🤭
I can’t work out if your being serious or not?

This is his statement

Note there was a small minority who egged on the BLM rioters too and many more of us, me included, who agree with the basic principle that equality matters and discrimination is wrong, but didn’t agree with the more extreme stuff, setting fires, being violent and so on.

insincere guff designed to try to stop him going to jail. The only reason he wanted to recall parliament was to spit his venom covered by parliamentary privilege.

Nah, still not a fan x

Oh and Soph, nothing personal I write is towards you hun, just hate this man with a vengeance, but I think I hide it well x

Oh no I’m enjoying the discussion :) There are 100% certain things people who don’t like him have said on here that I agree with. I just believe some fair points of his are masked by a lot of pantomime baddie stuff, which can sometimes tip into arrogance and silly behaviour.

I know he’s an MP, not a school child, but there’s plenty of lefties that stir things up with hyperbole on social media even worse than he does, just the politicians don’t. Which is key.

At least he’s using his platform to say something. And no none of it’s racist if you actually look beyond what he’s saying that can appear inflammatory (which he knows, and that it’s not for everyone) and hear him out about some valid concerns he might not express in the most trendy way because he’s 60 😆

He does seem genuinely apologetic in that post and that he knows he’s made mistakes

I'm curious as to how you think he seemed apologetic in that post? To me it read as "riots are very bad but there are legitimate concerns."

yeah, going to have to agree to disagree about a lot of that and I personally think it’s an I’m sorry I might be going to jail post 🙂

Well I agree.
Like I said above I think there are a very small amount of people that condone the looting, burning and so on of the BLM riots, or who had anything but contempt for the people who did that, but many who took on board the legitimate concerns that led to them. There are very much some legitimate concerns around mass migration.

He didn’t cause the riots come on guys. He’s spoken up for the basic principles behind why people are frustrated, and condemned the actual riots. He’s made it clear he doesn’t condone them.

Do point out where and who's stirred things up that led to rioting.

He's been stirring it up for years.

You mean this lovely cuddly guy who's never threatened to pick up a rifle and "head for the front lines"?

Legitimate concerns that do not stand up to any kind of scrutiny.

They voted for Brexit because they had "valid concerns" but it just worked to decrease the numbers of immigrants they like, and increased the numbers of immigrants they don't. They went full out and started advocating for spending billions of pounds on an unrealistic Rwanda scheme, so undeliverable and distasteful even Rishi Sunak called an early election to escape it. They then got angry and started setting fire to things.

Of course, there are conversations to be had around people integrating, having the service infrastructure to accommodate everyone, and the safety concerns around crossing the English Channel on a small boat. But this isn't the level of discourse we're having when people are setting fire to hotels and wheelie bins.

I am sure you are a lovely person Soph but I am never going to believe that Nigel Farage is anything but a lying grifting hole lacking in any moral fibre who cares only for himself and is financed by his Russian puppet masters and far right American shitbags who threaten our beautiful democracy.

I hate him even more than I hated that bin bag full of custard Boris Johnson and that’s saying something.

edited to add, at least Boris has finally ducked off now though x

But the people setting fire to wheelie bins don't represent everyone who has concerns! And Nigel has never said he condones the riots just because he shares similar concerns that are being badly expressed. Is Stormzy is 72 years old being blamed for buildings being burned and being called 'Arson Stormzy is 72 years old' because he went on a BLM march and therefore supports the marches? Sure he doesn't agree with elements of them.

It’s just the perfect description and it comes from the fragrant and stylish Jennifer Arcuri. And she would know.

“He rolled onto me like a bin bag full of custard, gasping like an asthmatic octogenarian, as he reached his climax & I wondered if he’d got it in yet.”

These people listen to him, he knows he carries a lot of power. He deliberately hinted that the police were hiding something about the stabber knowing this would inflame the situation, and at no point did he tell them to stop. He could have spoken out at various points over the last few days and didn’t. He could have stopped things from escalating the way they did.

Yeah I’ll give you that, good summing up and irresponsible from an MP especially. Doesn’t mean they were ‘his’ riots or that he shouldn’t speak out about the police or media hiding things. But he needs to get his facts straight.
