But it's all LOLS though, eh. Cute Nigey Wigey and his endearing 'sly comments'.

I would say he should hang his head in shame but he clearly has none. Much like his 'not at all associated' Tommy Robinson.

Farage is a Russian agent. Bought and paid for. The Gammons lap him up like the brain dead cretins they are

Okay but it was obviously built for a reason, based on research and economic demand, for leisure and business people in the area. The clue is in the name, holiday inn. Why is it now a storage facility for migrants, bringing a loss of business and spending money to an already deprived town?
I’d say the same about a bunch of Brits being dumped in a hotel in Somalia by the way, it’s nothing to do with demonising these people it’s just facts.
And they’re not all asylum seekers in desperate need I’m not even going there ☠
As already said, we don’t know if it were viable as a hotel and the owners obviously decided this was a better deal, nobody was forcing them to take migrants and it wasn’t a public service establishment so they can do what they want. As for other hotels, I quick google shows there’s plenty of other options so next time you want to holiday there you’ll be fine 😉. As to why we have hotels full of migrants, a lot of this is down to lack of processing which is down to lack of resources to do this during the last governments tenure, the new one has pledged to improve this but obviously no progress yet. The lack of processing also leads to us not knowing who is a genuine refugee and none of this is the fault of the people actually in the hotel, anybody focusing hate at them is directing it in the wrong direction and anybody encouraging such though is directly responsible for inciting the behaviours we’ve seen recently.

Anyone remember this?

Okay but we really don’t need multiple entire hotels full of asylum seekers (most of which will come from Calais which is safe). We just don’t sorry. That’s the issue he’s trying to raise.

So you have no problem with him driving around showing where the hotels with asylum seekers are. What a surprise. Stop palming off his actions with excuses.

Shall I come back with a quote from Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot to encapsulate the views of the entire left 👁
Please do, it’s a free country, but this is the Farage thread isn’t it? Or am in the wrong place?

Edited to add, I’m not sure I implied that the quote was about the entire right but if that’s what you inferred it wasn’t. It’s entirely my view about Nigel though.

Because most people don’t HATE asylum seekers or want to harm them. Those doing that at the moment are a VERY small minority. 99% of people aren’t going to cause issues just because they know where a hotel is. He’s just informing people of the facts.

I agree it’s maybe not that sensible though.

Goebbels has about as much to do with Nigel Farage as Stalin does with Keir Starmer 🐱

And look how some bellends act upon those facts. To minimise the connection between such videos of his and the targeting of such accommodation is irresponsible.

We wouldn’t if the last government did their job rather than letting the backlog get so large so they’d have some cheap political points. This is what happens when you don’t actually process people and leave them in a permanent limbo but hey, let’s ignore the fact that people tried to murder other humans by setting fire to hotels because Nigel Farage can do no wrong in your eyes!

I don’t think Nigel can do no wrong, I’ve pointed out actions from him I’m not keen on. That video is also from 2020, so not like he’s doing it now after recent events.

I get that you’re saying these sorts of comments and videos from him fuel the fire, and I don’t disagree. But you could say the same about a leftie media figure saying the tories have caused cuts to public services and therefore starved children (which is rhetoric I’ve seen that isn’t untrue per se, but still inflammatory and intended to provoke emotion) and linking that to some previous riots which have also involved people burning things to protest against austerity. None of it helps and riots aren’t a healthy way to show frustration. Neither is Nigel stirring things, but at least he’s talking about issues that seem to resonate.

Nigel has spent his entire political career stirring things up and pointing at people to say they’re different to you and not the same, it’s their fault. There are countless examples of this and all the while he pretends to be a man of the people when he’s as establishment as he can be, same as Trump does. Never take responsibility for any of their actions.

It is a consequence of cutting public services then blaming asylum seekers for it by the previous government. They think that the NHS is on its knees due to migrants not because it’s been underfunded to the bone where it’s not able to function properly. Nigel is stirring things, he spread lies about the murderer of the 3 girls and has egged on other far right figures in their bigotry. He resonates heavily with who exactly? He doesn’t with me, he might resonate heavily with Russian bots but most certainly with not with other people as they’ve demonstrated on this thread. He’s managed to portray himself as the saviour of the working class while being a public school boy, worth millions and being a leech off the tax payer as he’s so far not done anything for his beloved Clacton!

The left do the same though, pointing fingers at the right and saying they’re monsters they’re different from the rest of us because they’re rich, or they’re gammons. It’s how both parties work and it’s pretty inflammatory.
Nige definitely isn’t a man of the people but it’s not like there aren’t plenty of champagne socialists as well 🍺

A lot of the working class being called gammons and having their concerns dismissed (NOT these rioters or around this incident, just in general) are more vulnerable on several levels than my university peers posting on social media stirring things up calling them racists and victims of the nasty Tories, stoking hate and resentment. It happens on both sides
