These insta huns all need to pivot quickly and find a new income stream because they’re so out of touch with reality and their audiences in the current climate.

Would also love to know the return on investment for businesses / brands who give their stuff away from free. It’s such a turnoff for potential paying customers when they see A.N.other influencer promoting a restaurant etc.

I have been buying Raaxo leggings for over a year since the very first launch. They are fab, but I'm due a new pair and I'm going to look elsewhere. My money that I've been paying for over a year clearly isn't good enough. A valued customer doesn't so much as get a discount, but people that have never bought any get them for free?! Nah, I'll support elsewhere thanks!
I did this with Wild deodorant. Was using them and loving it but no freebies or discounts then every single instahun and their granny were gifted freebies. I've ditched them and won't be back

Have you found a decent alternative? It's easily the best deodorant I've tried. I'm still paying for it, but it annoys me when so many get it free! Happy to hear recommendations for others to stop me having to pay them 🤣

they are happy for a lot of instahuns to sell incorrect info (since it falls on the instahuns head, it’s not something the brand itself would get penalised for), which is why I didn’t like them. I’m also a bit suspect of any brand that relies on influencers to promote it and relies on a subscription based service.

eg if you check the Nelly London thread, she was raving about how wild deodorant stopped her from sweating. She even took pictures of herself after an exercise class to insist she wasn’t sweating.

except deodorant doesn’t stop anyone from sweating - antiperspirant does.

I use a mix of both deodorant and anti perspirant.

what was it you liked about wild? For an easy deodorant without aluminium salts, Dove do one and it sells in most Boots.

Tropic. It's not as eco friendly for the packaging but I never liked any of the other eco ones I used. Tropic is amazing even straight after shaving and I have really sensitive skin. It appears pricey but I swear mine lasts for ages, def longer than any other one and even when you think it's done you can keep squeezing more out for a week or two. I love it

I can't bring myself to support Tropic or any mlms 🙈

I'm not even worried about the eco side of it to be honest (I'm aware I probably should to save the planet and all that) I just think it's the best deodorant I've ever used. I sweat a lot, but don't when I use wild!

Yea but it's an MLM which makes it the worst of the worst.

Wee Gerry Lavz (who I actually have a soft spot for so hear me out)

I know he has his own thread but this is Primark related.

Did you see the craic with the chair? Loads of stories about it and not one mention that it was bought from a gift card. He said he'll put up a reel today with stuff from all over the shop, he had a really good day - not a peep about being given money to spend.

Ohsofemme, girlyinspo etc all there. So influencers who got vouchers.... what about the likes of cool fm/Belfast live etc? Did they get gift cards or were they there just doing their job?

Though Gerry did have his tagged as a press invite (which is laughable, as a former "press person" never once did my "job" include walking round Primark with a chair on my head)
They all got vouchers. My friend was there and didn’t say so I asked her. £200 each

If you are buying from a friend that's putting food on the table and clothing their kids .... 🤷‍♀️
its deeply unethical though. The whole point of an MLM is that you don’t make money form selling the products, you make money from creating your own down line. Aka you make money by roping other people in.

so your money isn’t really putting food on the table and clothig kids - it’s contributing to an exploitive system and helping sustain it. It’s legitimising it.

I vote with my wallet and absolutely would not buy anything from a MLM.

Lads, don't waste your time going to that new Primark.

It was rit, everything was out of stock, empty shelves etc. I don't actually see the hype at all, same with Belfast in general.

Why is Gerry lavz promoting teeth whitening when he’s got veneers? That’s false advertising which is illegal. Clowns who actually Fall for it 🤡

He has composite bonding which is around the edges of your teeth so you can still whiten your own teeth, which probably needs to be done often to match the bonding
