I bought my son a pair of vans from the next website about 4 months ago. They still sell them at the price I paid. Unfortunately just tried them and they don’t fit, do you think they will still allow me to return them? They are brand new still with the tags and box.

Thank you

Have you still got your return form it came with? I bought some Next own brand jeans ( not sure if other brands are different)from the website and I missed the return date ( it was either 28 or 14 days) and it was written clearly in the paperwork.

Can you sell them on ebay / vinted/ marketplace ? You might make most of the cost back.

They will probably let you return them and put them onto a gift card or let you exchange them rather than a card / cash refund!

The problem with Next is that their barcodes are linked to the individual item, therefore your account when you buy it so they would know when they were bought. I return something I'd had for a few months once and while they took it instore and I got a returns receipt, the money never went back on to my account.

Omg that’s really bad. Did you get the item back?

I don’t think I have any of the paperwork. I might regift them to a relative

I used to work in Next, they told me the barcodes could alert them if someone had attempted to return a stolen item, I didn't believe people were that stupid when I was told, but I soon learned they are! Especially after sales!

If you don't get anywhere with Next you could absolutely sell them on eBay or DePop etc.

Does your store have the self return scanners? If so I'd try and put them through those. I did this with some kids shoes same scenario really. They came up at sale price but I thought hey it's better than nothing. Credit was applied straight away to my account.

Edit Next credit account not bank account.

Yes I think they do I might give it a go. They are still full price online so I’m hoping I’ll get the money back

I return stuff all the time out of the 28 days and always get a refund back to my credit account. I pay for the delivery pass so i get them to collect the parcel.
