I've not used Merlin this week as the whole week has basically been a monsoon here but I will get out at the weekend!

There's a lovely woodland walk near me which is teeming with birds but there's no blooming signal up there so I never get the app to work

Also, aforementioned monsoon has - of course - destroyed my peonies which had just bloomed. Happens every single year!

Has any one else noticed how many big bumblebees there are this year? It’s way more than it’s been for the last few years.

Yes! Now you mention it, I've seen some whoppers in the garden.
