One of the trainers in my gym said to me years ago that if it’s loose skin, sadly you are never going to get rid of that with sit ups etc. A tummy tuck is the only way to effectively get rid of loose skin around your tummy, which is a really common thing to have if you’ve had a few pregnancies and lost weight after. He also said that diet is 90% important for getting rid of a tummy, with gym exercises only really accounting for about 10%. Hope that helps! I’m no expert by any means, but he was a really practical, no-nonsense kind of guy and he said that is really annoyed him how new mums were sold all sorts of exercise plans to ‘lose the mum tum’ when in reality 90% of it could be achieved by eating better (calorie deficit etc.), and/or accepting that to a certain extent, loose saggy skin simple can’t be ‘toned’ in the sense?

Thank you for this. Sadly its not loose skin, though it does resemble a delayed balloon. It's where I carry my weight, I always have but its worse now I've had my babies. I've cut out fizzy drinks which has done some wonders but I do like food (well cheese, I love cheese)

Deflated not delayed

I’ve got a mum tum and I haven’t even had kids so I feel your pain. Currently considering non surgical lipo.

I've lost a stone and am totally loving my new shape. However it's really slow going off my tummy and it's getting me down. I've had three babies and have got a gap between my abdominals but I'm not sure of the best way to help with that. I walk three to four miles daily, am happy to do workouts at home but am limited for space. I've got a weighted hula hoop but that's it. Any advice?
