I think the EU really should look at the problems of letting all citizens travel around freely (and this includes our own home grown criminals).
I would 100% support new legislation surrounding restrictions on entering any other country with a criminal record and I mean for all nationalities.
A criminal forfeits there right to this when they commit the crime in my view would be entirely justified.
Back to Muireann I can't understand the big need and rush to post something only to delete a few hours later. If you say something have the guts to stand behind it or just say nothing!
I would agree. If you commit a serious crime you would forfeit the privilege of free movement.

I'm sure the Spanish in Marbella would be happy to stop the migration of our criminals to their area.

Yes tbh I can't imagine what advantage it is for the EU that these people are free to run from the devastation they cause at home to then move to another country where an innocent citizen can end up quite literally caught in the crossfire of an attempt to kill them etc just because they have the right to freedom of travel as an EU citizen.

Mod edit anyway, can someone create a new thread and there's eu threads in offtopic to continue this

Why is this fact lost on SO many people!?!
I've never seen as many clueless dipshits as I have in the last few days. Some really racist bleeps about tarring every non-national with the same brush. Shame on them.

Really questioning our education system and people's grasp of the EU. Someone on this thread said the Irish need documents and checks to go everywhere.

I have news for you - being in the EU means free movement of goods, people and services. It's a benefit of membership.

No one can deny we need a sensible immigration policy from non EU countries with checks and controls because what we have now is not it. It's absolutely batshit.

This is sensible - there needs to be an asterisk beside free movement rules that state if you are a criminal the same rules do not apply and you are subject to vetting. Very tough to police this though.

Muireann's mother comes across like a bit of a wagon the way Muireann talks about her commenting on her clothes and makeup.

My mother would never ever comment on what I looked liked unless I asked her.

Totally agree, she sounds like a right auld witch. Explains why Muireann is always on the defence if she’s had a lifetime of criticism from her mother.

I don't think her mother says half the stuff Muireann says she does. Muireann craves attention and would use any means to get it.

I think there is a feeling out there that the benefits we offer to refugees are acting as a bit of a magnet. AFAIK we have by far the most valuable welfare for Ukraine immigrants in Europe.

I personally know of one woman who fled Ukraine to Portugal. However when word reached her on the bush telegraph, she relocated here because she got a better deal here.

That's morally wrong IMO. There's being compassionate and helping poor people fleeing war. And then there's being taken advantage of. I fear we may be slipping slightly into the latter, in some cases

So she's worn the 'baggy' jeans for the past 2 days and she's now in Seagreen to drop them back? Sorry, what? Does she get a refund after wearing them and then they put them back on sale? She isn't declaring any #ad with them so she's just posting as a regular customer, sure 🥴

I hope it's another pair in a different size.

The flat rate of benefits is a joke. You have ppl who never worked a day in their life, never paid taxes and then say someone who has worked and been made redundant on the same rate of welfare. It’s ridiculous

She dropped back jeans after wearing them a few times?
Dropped back sounds like she had them on loan and took them back after wearing them.
If that’s true then it’s minging, especially when she is speaking about her crotch.

She's like a teenager over the sex toys. Slagging Tommy but laughing like a simpleton anytime the segment is mentioned.
Thinks she's so with it on everything, but didn't know what half of the toys were🙄 She seems to think sex toys are only for menopausal women and married women too. She must be very vanilla with "the housemate".
Hard to believe she's in her 40s 🙄🙄🙄

She seems to be one of few of the Virgin Media/Ireland Am ladies not to mention Tommy’s clothing range 10th Anniversary. Fair enough not going to the party with an early start but she could have acknowledged it. Looked like a great night!

Muireann’s mother is a really lovely woman. I think half of what Muireann says is made up. Marie is genuinely a very sweet lady.
