Thanks so much guys
another half has been sent to shops to try and get as many of the suggestions as he can
Yeah it probably doesn't help I've come off a nighshift this week so my sleeping pattern is out of whack as it isAwww hun, I feel your pain. I’m 9 weeks and I’m struggling with it too. I keep having ice lollies and rich tea biscuits. I also noticed like someone else said that when I’m tired it comes on worse.
Iv lost so much weight because I’m not eating properlyI was probably slightly worse at 6 weeks: let’s hope it eases abit for you too hun. Xxxx

That’s great that you can now get them in the uk, sadly when I was pregnant over 3 years ago they weren’t selling them here. I 100% recommend them to help xPreggie pops available on Amazon x
I've been off work all week with it but I've had one or two days when I've felt okay and I'm being so para I'm going to have a MC (already had one so it's constantly in the back of my mind) so that actually gives me a bit a reassurance that it's semi normal, even though I'm only first trimester.Hope everyone’s ok today.
I’m on a short fuse with other humans this week. My sickness comes and goes like the weather. One day I’ll be fine and the next I’ll be suffering so bad I can’t walk.
This week the comments I’ve had are
“Oh, but you were fine yesterday?!” (In such a tone that makes me sound like I am faking it, yeah right!)
And
“But you’re in the second trimester now, it’s not supposed to last this long youre soooo unlucky”

Oh hun, it sounds like you’ve had a rough ride. I totally get you though, it’s a time you want help and support like everyone else has had and then when it’s your turn you experience is different. I’m in a similar situation, I’m an older first time mum with a heart condition, and it’s very daunting and overwhelming. Everything is unknown and you just want tour fears to be heard and some support. I can’t believe they made you watch a video of that! That’s just ludicrous- ever likely you are angry. I hope you start to feel abit better about things. I’m always here if you need to chat.Oh mine's a physical booklet with handwritten notes. See if your local hospital website has maternity pages.
I understand your frustration, I've been more than, frankly, totally fucked off with the level of care I've received - it seems to be getting better now I see them in person and tbf I was surprised to hear stuff I thought I was missing due to Covid like anti-natal classes were cut before that due to funding (the online course they've created in my area is an absolute joke, it's truly embarrassing. How the fuck watching interviews with 2 week old new parents tells me anything I'd love to know!). I don't know if I feel a bit hard done by being an older mum, waiting all this time then when it's my turn I feel like I'm getting screwed over. Still, that attitude isn't going to help me so I've just decided to be as proactive as I can. It's all i can do really to not get more stressed.
Good luck with getting somewhere with it all xx
Wow!!! Bless you, 8 years!! Wonder Woman in my eyes!My gums are in tatters. 8 years of non stop pregnancy and breastfeeding (or both at the same time) has destroyed them. I can’t use normal floss, I can’t seem to bend myself rightso the water flosser has been fab and I really notice the difference.
Let me know how you get on xThanks so muchxx
Oh mine's a physical booklet with handwritten notes. See if your local hospital website has maternity pages.Yeh they gave me a password for my pregnancy notes but haven’t told me where to log in.
Thanks though you’ve been more helpful than anyone Iv talked to from my midwifery dept! Xx
They are sour sweets, but they are just perfect, they really helped with my nausea and sickness. I did try normal sour sweets but I ended up being sick with them, but not with preggie pops xWhat are they? Xx
Any luck feeling better this afternoon? Thanks so much guysanother half has been sent to shops to try and get as many of the suggestions as he can

I'm a good while off that but I got a text this morning saying that they are only doing 12 + 20 week scans in my health board but that partners can come to both. If that's the case and I don't get one at 18 I'll maybe go private in the middle of that time, there's a place just down the road for me and it's £50 which is maybe worth if for peace of mind...maybe you could look into something like that?I'm glad it's not just me, totally overpriced too! I'm taking these ones at the moment and they're ok for me.
Has anyone else had their 16-18 week midwife appointment cancelled because of covid? I've only had my 12 week scan and my next appointments inc gender scan are at 21 weeks later this month, makes me a bit nervous that things are so far apart without any checks!
Yeah I took pregnacare when I was TTC and it made my period late by a week so now just take boots combined vit d and folic. Much cheaper too l.Have they not moved it to a phone call instead? In my area you see a midwife after your phone call booking in appt just to take bloods then you don’t see anyone (besides the sonographer at scans) until 28 weeks but get two phone calls instead.
This is their revised care schedule, just my hospital obvs but as a guide. You have to call them to book if they don’t call you.

My midwife team advocate vit D and folic acid and not needing anything else. Say pregnacare etc just charge a load preying Mums’ fears
Ah bless you, it is rubbish!Oh poor you that sounds brutalI've had to call in sick to work today because I just couldnt move from the toilet, despite not being sick just dry heaving
got zero energy cos I have no appetite either.
This is a much wanted baby and I don't want to moan about it,and I should be grateful after a couple of losses, but wow it's hard![]()
I drank pretty much only Sprite in my last pregnancy. Probably not great for the teeth, but that was all I could stomach, no water at all.Thank you both for your advice, I’ll definitely try ice lollies. The thought doesn’t instantly repulse me like a glass of water does at the moment!
