Missing two periods in a row

Hi,
My periods have always been regular. I’m 34 years old and in reasonable health. For the last two months my periods have stopped ( only two days of spotting). My GP has put it down to stress and has told me to come back if it’s not here in 2 months. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests and they were both negative. My Gp wouldn’t give me a blood test for pregnancy or to check hormones. I don’t think I’m particularly stressed!? Not enough for this to happen. I should be coming up to my third period soon and I have zero pms symptoms.
Has anyone else just suddenly missed periods?

Just been through this myself, had two days then suddenly stopped an then missed the next month all together an it come early the 3rd month, I put mine down to stress, somtimes we are stressed when we think we aren't an if you are worrying about it then it could be causing stress, am trying to keep note of mine now just to see how long inbetween I go, it's only happens rarely to me that I get like this but if you keep a note of starting an stopping an any pains, flows etc an you find it's happening more an more I'd go back an speak about it an show the notes so the doctor can see if there's maybe a pattern to it

Hi. This started happening to me at 33-34 took many pregnancy tests all negative. They stopped for about 4 months. I went to Doctors as my mam and Gran started Menopause in early 40s, they said it must be stress related. The periods came back then about a year later they stopped again for a couple of months then came back so heavy and very painful and I started with hot flushes, went and had another blood tests and showed I was premenopausal. I'm not saying this is the case for you but that was my experience.

Don’t be fobbed off by being told it’s stress. I’m sure you’ve been in stressful situations before without this happening. You know your body and what’s normal and if you’ve always been regular, then they need to be checking it. Women always get the brush off. If it was a man they’d be doing all the tests. Could be anything, but always best to get it checked out x
