Jafar really came into it during the Thriller and Bad eras. His dancing and mannerisms were incredible. The guy playing Joseph was really good too. I may have to see it again...
I just watched it, got free tickets - Jafar looked and sounded great but I felt like it looked nothing like him when he did Bad era just before the end. Thriller makeup was uncanny. The young boy was a fab little actor whoever he was. It was ok, preferred Better Man.

surely this can't go anywhere though hes been dead for 16 years
I think it depends on the state they filed it as some have removed statute of limitations. California for example passed a law where adult survivors have between Jan 1 2026 to December 31 2027 to sue so it possible. It will boil down to whether they have any evidence which they claim to have but whether that is true or not, I have no clue.

They left out all the scandal so it's not a real life biography. It's telling Paris won't go to any of the premieres.
In fairness she was very young when he passed away, she can’t pretend she knows him completely. Also parents protect their children from alot, especially a painful upbringing. I thought the film was good. Jafar was amazing but it was never going to be Oscar winning. People complaining aspects weren’t covered, the makers already advised they weren’t allowed cover a lot due to legalities.

Jeez, how many times now? The movie only goes up to 1988. BEFORE the allegations.
And regardless of any of that, a biopic is not a documentary, they're never completely accurate and fully fleshed out even with scandal-free figures. People are always freaking out about whatever the new biopic of the day is, whining that it's not 100% accurate and took major liberties, because they don't understand film storytelling and pacing.

Oh, and I was wracking my brain trying to think of an actual good biopic and I finally remembered one! Dolemite is My Name, starring Eddie Murphy and Wesley Snipes. It benefits by being a comedy, and also no rabid fan base not picking it to death!

She was 11 she will remember him well. His only daughter isn't supporting this and one of her brothers didn't turn up either. It's very telling because they used to go to anything.

I used to like the BBC Four biopics they used to make of British stars like Hattie Jacques, Kenneth Williams and Fanny Craddock - and the one about the start of Coronation Street with Jessie Wallace as Pat Phoenix.

to me it felt more like the Jacksons movie than him, most songs they played were Jackson 5, they rushed though his solo career to focus on the Jacksons even during those periods and still played Jackson 5 songs in the off the wall and thriller eras which made no sense like why are you playing Rockin Robin and Ben over Man in the Mirror etc.

As soon as Latoya came up as a producer I rolled my eyes, she inserted herself has much as possible throughout for no reason. It to me felt like a money grab from the Jacksons and that they’ve put so much of them into it to get their royalties rather than it be just Michael’s estate.

I know Paris had issues with the inaccuracies and I do think she has a massive issue with how the Jacksons exploit him for money she always seemed very protective of that would love to know what went on with her and Janet and this movie.

Paris has made it clear she thinks it's nothing more than a cash grab from people who were already wasting his money who don't care if some if not a lot of it is fiction.

Pop Bitch is also talking about him today with some known stories that used to go around about him.

Yeah I remember the Jesus juice and duck butter thing. Revolting. It’s unbelievable to me that some people still think he was innocent. What sane person would think this is all perfectly normal?

Well hang on I don't think he's innocent either but I don't think you can take Popbitch as indisputable fact

Safechuck wanted his wedding at Neverland. Weird to want to get married at a place you were allegedly abused at isn't it?
