It’s stunning. I actually find it shocking that her family have money. Her grandmas house is near me, and is not only nice, and big, but is in a very sought after area. Weird they don’t seem to have helped her much. To see her living in chip large towers when she’s from a wealthy background is a jarring contrast.
I think that was her choice, though. I really get the idea that she wanted to be in with the family as much as possible and Manley didn’t fancy moving out of his mums. Look how he was when they eventually did move in together 🤣

She moved into her dad’s because she hated the house she moved into and wasn’t the lease up? So she’ll have moved before she had to re-sign. Don’t think it had anything to do with Olly..
I think she would’ve rented again if there was no Olly. I can’t see her doing this if there was no one to buy a house with

I guess you would expect her family to have helped but who would want their child with Manley? As someone said look how he treated her.
No way would a decent family want to help with any money to fund a place for him to live

I think her family definitely have helped her over the years. It looks like it’s her mums side with the money. If you compare her situation with say Amber for example then I think you can tell that she has been helped out along the way. I know she makes money from instagram now but she’s always lived a lifestyle that would not be feasible for somebody in her situation without being bankrolled.

True, but it’s weird she’s been renting rubbish places (the last one for near on £1000 a month) when you’d have thought someone could’ve easily lent her money for a deposit on a property like that. The average sale price for a detached house in her grandparents area over the last 12 months is £1.9 mil. Bearing in mind her grandparents’ is one of the nicest in the area, and has always stood out to me, so I reckon is worth even more than the average!

Unpopular opinion but I don’t think her family should’ve helped her get a house. Maybe it’s because I’ve grown up to work for and depend on myself but just because her grandparents have a nice house doesn’t mean they should automatically pay for Mia’s. She chose to have a child young and gets thousands via social media, tv etc. she easily could’ve afforded her own if she didn’t gunk it on things she didn’t need. If I was her grandma and saw her getting boob jobs, fillers etc I wouldn’t give her my money either
I think the people talking about help mainly meant before influencing when she lived with the Geddess family

I couldn’t agree more with this. She clearly has her own money she’s an adult and can prioritise a home for her child but still seems to pour it down the drain, rven more so since olly has been on the scene.

Agreed!

I hate this idea that people who come from a family with money should just be given some of that money too. It teaches people nothing. Life isn't as simple as just being handed money because your family have it!

I’ve not been given anything from family either, working class background. I didn’t say they should give her the deposit, but lend rather than letting her waste money on renting. I would help family out if I were wealthy.
Although you are right, she’s chosen this type of lifestyle she has now.

I reckon they disapprove of her lifestyle choices aka teenage pregnancy, being with a rat like Manley and wasting money so that’s probably why… just find the contrast of their house in the new forest with the fact she was renting a tit hole in a rough area in Southampton crazy 😅

Her rent for that latest little 2 bed house was like £500PM we all found it on rightmove at the time. Def wasn’t £1000!

Mia wasn't close with her dad growing up was she, I remember her saying in one of the early episodes that they had only grown closer as she'd got a bit older.

Does anyone know anything about her mum? It is a bit crazy that her gran has that amazing house and Mia has ended up with the lifestyle she has. The gran's house doesn't look like new money either it looks like old money. And Mia and her dad do not give off that vibe at all.

She must have gone to school/ grown up in the same area as Manley/ Erin though?

I reckon like someone else has said it's her family disapproving of her lifestyle choices as a teen. She fell in with a Manley/ Erin crowd etc and it's probably quite a sensible decision of her family not to bankroll that.

My close friend fell pregnant at 19 and her mum really disapproved, they are still close but she wouldn't let them live with her (they lived with the baby dad's family til they got a council house) and she told her she wouldn't be babysitting all the time so my friend could go out all the time/ live a normal teen/ young person social life. Which I kind of think is fair enough but I just know I wouldn't be able to do it if that was my daughter I'd be way too soft lol.

As my friend's daughter has grown up her mum has softened and will have the daughter for the occasional overnight so maybe that's how things have gone with Mia's family too.

Manley's family was clearly just accepting of whatever goes and their lifestyle is .... well hardly aspirational so you can see it from both sides of the coin.

I had my daughter at 19 and my mum wasn’t to happy either, however as soon as I had my daughter she became obsessed. Unfortunately my partner passed away so I think that had a huge factor in my parents helping me, however I did work full time - sometimes 2 jobs and they always said if I hadn’t of worked they would be less reluctant to help me, but as they saw I was trying my best they did. I think maybe her being on TV was a huge no no from her mums side, doesn’t she say her mum doesn’t want to be involved in that side of it?

Really? That genuinely surprises me with Southampton, £1000 sounds much more likely. I rented a 1 bed flat half an hour from there 6 years ago and that was £750 back then.

No I remember it being up and it was around £500ish as we were all saying how cheap the rent was in the area she was in. She said herself at the time she only got somewhere cheap because she was saving for a mortgage so didn’t want to over commit on rent. The house was TINY though and I don’t think it was a great area, I’m sure she had her car window smashed and stuff robbed on the first night 🙃
If was around £800 I remember. I grew up in that area and you deffo couldn’t get a 2 bed house (even if it was tiny) for £500 anymore. Xx

I get what people mean about working for your money but doesn't mean your spoilt if parents/family help out , I will help my kids as much as I can when they're older if needed and only what I can afford but if I was rich of course they would get more. They will still be taught the value of money and working for a living

Also I don’t think her grandparents having a lovely house is necessarily a big indicator they have a lot of money as it’s likely they bought that house a long long time ago when house prices weren’t 7 x the average salary 😭
