I went to my hairdressers today and I had to wear a mask, have my temperature taken and they gave me hand sanitiser. I thought it was all a bit extreme since we don’t need to do any of that anymore. Turns out they have cancer patients in on a Tuesday for wig fittings. My point being, I would have had no idea that these people were ill and vulnerable if I walked past them in the supermarket.

I am basically a long time lurker here and love reading this thread as I get to mentally vent my inner rage at Melanie through everyone's amazingly perceptive posts. But I just have to comment on her 'little wheelchair boy' story as I feel like my head is going to explode. I don't think I've ever heard anything so patronising and embarrassing from an 'influencer'. It is the same as her saying 'oh look my child is playing with a dark skinned doll, isn't he so amazing'. What the actual F!!!! I thought she was insufferable before, but this new low of blatant ignorance and internalized discrimination is beyond enraging and utterly cringeworthy. It's like a David Brent from The Office attitude to disability but she's a real life 32 year old woman! Oh. My. God!!!

And yet again she recieves a bit of criticism and she completely refuses to see or acknowledge what the criticism is actually about. It’s not that she’s happy she has a house. Of course she has every right to be.
The issue is she spent all of 2020 and 2021 painting herself and Thomas as being so hard done by by the housing market, the face of millennials that can’t get on the property ladder. Regular postings publically on Instagram and YouTube whinging about not being given a mortgage while Thomas is out of work, not being able to buy in an expensive desired area, they won’t be able to afford anything big enough, they’re going to get outbid by mean cash buyers who don’t deserve it as much as a young family, it’s going to take years, they’re going to have to emigrate etc, etc. Then to include their moaning in the Dublin live article and her insta live with crazyhouseprices.. really hamming it up.
When in reality they were never impacted by the housing crisis- they were just delayed by Thomas being out of work for a while. Once he got his new job, they got the huge mortgage no bother and they bought the large ugly house no bother all in the space of a couple months.
Good for them. Be happy. But read the room, especially considering what you were previously posting. Keep some of that happiness just between you and your loved ones, don’t need to constantly post it out to followers who maybe followed you because they related to your exaggerated housing struggles.

It was basically a big 'let's quieten the tattlers' chat she desperately wants him to prefer short haul to long haul when it appears he really enjoys his job at the moment. She wishes he would just agree with her and say he wishes he was at home all the time when he most definitely doesn't want that. I also don't buy her not being paranoid or jealous. She screams paranoid and jealous. She's even jealous of his success by the sounds of it and by the fact he gets to be away meeting new people and seeing the world.

I couldn't agree more. What I found iffy was how the entire tone of the video changed once cheating in the airline industry/jealously came up... both suddenly acting really awkwardly animated and talking in higher octaves... it was clear from the off that jealously/toxic behaviour surrounding trust is still a very active problem, they can pretend otherwise (and my god do they pretend) but it's very obvious here everything ain't rosy in the garden.

Thought it was very interesting how thomas brought up how he used to change how he spoke to other people as to not upset Melanie... yet we had a guest on tattle tell us in the last thread how Thomas doesn't speak to this tattler and her partner when Melanie is around.

He also texts Melanie while on work trips and let's her know exactly who he's socialising with at dinner/drinks etc.

Of course he wants another baby, he doesn’t have to carry or give birth to it. In all seriousness he has just started back long hauls, they’ve moved into a new house that needs a lot of work doing to it, they’re having their wedding soon (I know, I know..), they’ve a fuck ton of debt between them, their son has just turned one and they don’t live with other family now and melanie doesn’t drive. In what world is having another baby doable?! She will have a nervous breakdown.

This is so incredibly tone deaf. Yes moving is stressful, yes moving can be traumatic, yes moving is a lot of work. BUT it's not even remotely comparable to losing a loved one or your job (which so many have during these past two years, some people even lost both of these), going through a divorce or suffering from a serious illness or injury. And it is even less so, when that move is a positive like moving into your own house. And when it doesn't come out of the blue but has been something that has been on the horizon for a long long time.
What the actuall hell is that post??
She knew full well during the last few months that they were going to move at some point in the near-ish future, even if there was still the possibility of this particular house falling through. Why not start decluttering and getting rid of things then instead of rushing and stressing now? She really has some balls to complain.
