According to someone on the CDaN site, she was in rehab and is now staying with her parents which technically could be classed as a sober house if they hire someone to watch her. When it's clear that children need professional help like this why does nothing happen?? No ordinary person and loving home can fix this, at least not alone, they need skilled professionals to get to the root of the problem. I don't understand how children like this can be left to abuse and be abused.

I wanna say it was People or some other showbiz mag that first reported it and when they did, they said they and other media knew who it was but chose/weren't allowed to even hint it was her. I wonder if now they are reporting it is her being questioned, she is near to being charged?

From what I've read it seems like it was a genuine accident. It sounds like this is a ring though so they will be wanting to find out who else is being supplied and who is the dealer. I wouldn't be surprised if, by the time this is done and dusted, a few more 'famous' names are revealed.
It was his choice to take drugs. Why are they trying to pin it on his (female) friends?

And he had dodged death so many times before (his bowels literally exploded due to drug use). He was a drug addict. A rich and talented one, but an addict who willfully took the risk. It's not really a surprise that some of his friends were users too.
It was his choice, but dealers are also committing a crime. If police can stop them maybe it will prevent more deaths.
I would imagine they are trying to find dealers or suppliers. Police rarely want to pursue addicts (in the UK at least) unless it's a common thing for them to be found with drugs. He did make the choice and being an addict he would most likely come across other drug users and he friends with them. Hopefully they are talking to his friends to find out more information but don't charge them with anything as he consumed drugs.
This reminds me an awful lot of the drama that surrounded Heath Ledger's death. They went after Mary-Kate Olsen who's long been rumored to be a celebrity drug dealer, and who was the first person who was called by the masseuse who found Ledger's body. Mary-Kate lawyered up quickly, secured immunity, and the whole episode was quickly swept under the rug.
As for Perry, he chose to take drugs again and again throughout his life. The drugs that killed him weren't laced. He knew what he was doing. Trying to shift the blame onto some wicked woman is standard Hollywood tabloid BS.
