I was looking at a piece of Fenton and Fenton furniture and got served the Mamamia studio makeover they did. Thankfully deinfluenced.

I actually started listening to MMOL again while she was absent. There is a completely different dynamic when she’s not there. It’s like when your boss is away or something. Everyone just feels a little bit more relaxed, and comfortable to say what they’re thinking or have an opinion without being challenged or told what they’re saying is wrong. I feel like everybody is a bit more themselves when she’s not present. She comes across as having a very dominating personality and always has to be the loudest person in the room.

This might be a reach but hear me out- she’s copped a lot of (very fair) criticism for not talking about Gaza. Now all of a sudden more media outlets and influencers are talking about it and it’s going to become even harder for Mamamia as a media organisation to continue to ignore. Maybe her stepping away allows the podcast to start talking about it more while also keeping her zio friends happy because it’s not her doing the actual talking.

The subscriber preview episodes that are dropping feel very desperate. Especially as they only give under five minutes of an ep.

Subscriber eps are around half an hour or less so you are listening to quite a chunk of it in the preview. There’s not a huge amount left to listen to the whole episode.

There seems to be a trend these days to pick old school and frankly unappealing names for your kids nobody’s used in years. I guess it makes a change from all the Avas, Graces, and Darcys. But choosing Luna for the first? Hell no - every dog at the dog park is called Luna. A couple I know have a Sid and a Mabel which I place in the same category as Harry and Margot. I have a Joanna, Hamish and Lachlan now in their 40s with names you never hear any more. Too conservative I guess.

I watch a few podcasts on YouTube but they’re commentary of Tik Tok/influencer drama so the video shows clips so relevant. Mamamia ones are just hosts sitting around a table.
