Does anyone else remember a few years ago, Mia wrote an article about why she hasn't/doesn't use Botox and has focused more on using skincare. She also discussed at length in a few podcasts. This was completely strategic. They had their 'Skin Summit' which was basically a conference for people to pay and listen to 'experts' talk all about skincare. Mia pushed it so heavily. Then bam, once the summit was complete, who do you think ran to their Dr for botox and then was like "I am allowed to change my mind". I don’t think that’s a reach at all, that makes total sense.This might be a reach but hear me out- she’s copped a lot of (very fair) criticism for not talking about Gaza. Now all of a sudden more media outlets and influencers are talking about it and it’s going to become even harder for Mamamia as a media organisation to continue to ignore. Maybe her stepping away allows the podcast to start talking about it more while also keeping her zio friends happy because it’s not her doing the actual talking.
