I recommend Lisa Eldridge on you tube for her make up videos. She’s really experienced, has lots of different make up tips to suit everyone and also is relaxing to watch ☺

The IT cosmetics bye bye undereye concealer is great! I’ve been using it for a week now and you need the tiniest amount so I can see it lasting ages. It’s very full coverage. I got the shade light and it’s good match for me (pale/fair cool undertone). I find it’s best applied with fingers to warm the product up a bit, then blend with a brush. I use the RT deluxe crease brush for concealer.

I’m just echoing all the comments about Botox really. I know people look down on it but nothing makes my skin look as good as 6 monthly Botox. I’m fortunate enough to be able to afford it though which I understand not everyone can (when I was on maternity leave for example I didn’t get it)

I do look after my skin as best I can by drinking lots of water, cleansing morning and evening, using an oil and retinol with a Derma roller of a night and peels once a week, as well as salicylic acid (tropics/revolution/the ordinary), but I have smoked and used sun beds in the past. I’m 29 and can’t buy alcohol in supermarkets without being asked for ID

over the last year I’ve hardly worn make up but the last few weeks I’ve tried to make an effort even though I wfh. So I use benefit pore fessional primer, NYX tinted veil moisturiser, MAC soft and gentle highlighter, benefit hoola bronzer, benefit roller lash and a bit of benefit wow brow (I get my brows micro bladed every 2 years)

on nights out I use estee Lauder double wear foundation and use an Anastasia Beverly Hills / urban decay pallet. Or if it’s a special occasion I get my make up done professionally

I use the Dove gradual tan twice a week but when it’s back to having a life I’ll be using st moriz - so cheap and the best fake tan imo (I’ve been fake tanning for about 16years - I’ve tried them all!)

My bfs female cousin got a derma roller for Christmas, and was chatting about it and rolling it over her chin. My bf piped up very proud of himself "ooh I've heard about these, they are supposed to help your beards grow"

Wally.

Hi, I’m sorry for the late post. I had to make this is in the memo part of my phone as the site kept acting weird for me.
But your skin looks like it’s dehydrated hence the oily t-zone and dry skin. Also your wash might be too astringent for your skincare needs.
A lot of the stuff I’m going to recommended is “La Roche-Posay” as I have found anyone I’ve worked with and have recommended this brand to, has ended up using it permanently also as it’s a mid range skin care brand it won’t destroy you financially and the products do go a long way before needing to be replaced.

Face Wash & Cleansers -

Toleraine Face wash cleanser for sensitive skin.

Cerave hydrating cleanser is similar to it too but a lot of people find Cerave can cause an acne flare up if you’re prone to acne.

Both of these are available in Boots!

Moisturiser -

Double Repair Moisturiser - I have many high end skin care and I always end up going back to this. It makes your dry areas moisturised and leaves your oily areas matte.

CeraVe smoothing cream it has salicylic acid in it that gives the skin the exfoliation it needs, aswell as hyaluronic acid and urea to help the skin remain moisturised

La Roche-Posay cicaplast b5 is great for anytime your skin has any sort of damage to it, like irritation or dry. A lot of parents use it for their babies nappy rash.

Those Garnier moisture bomb masks are great and I think you should keep using them regularly as they truly are a good product
If you want tips on serums and other types of creams just ask but I want to keep your routine as simple as possible.

Your anti aging issues, the best thing to use is sun cream! Even in the winter you should wear some it protects the skin from UV.

Retinol is the best thing for anti aging effects but it should be used regularly if you want to see results. The product i use is Elizabeth Arden capsules but as they’re pricey I recommend the Olay retinol24 line. They’re a bit more pricier than regular Olay products but are worth it and they’re truly fantastic products.

Regarding you wanting Botox, go ahead get it if you truly want it. It will give the best result out of all the creams and potions recommended. But overtime it will just require topping up and the older you get the more you will need and it needs to be maintained. Your best off looking after your skin, protecting it from weather, avoiding smoking, keeping yourself hydrated, eating well and not over indulging in alcohol. Little things like that make an overall improvement on your skin and when in hand with the products you are using, your skin will thank you and it will look amazing.
The only skin care products I will tell you to steer clear of is anything too heavily fragranced (especially the soap and glory line)

For liquid foundation you need a buffing brush, kabuki brushes are best for powders. Separate your face into sections and do bit by bit, do not do it as quick as possible and just apply it all over your face immediately. Get the brush and buff it into your face as lightly as possible using a circular motion, then take a damp blender and bounce it firmly around your face, when I was in Korea and got my makeup done it was the best makeup tip I ever learned as it rarely ever fails on most people. It does feel like your face is being battered but you’ll be gorgeous!

Powder foundation less is more! Also I think with the primer you are using is causing the problem of cakiness as it’s making your face tacky causing the powder to stick to it incorrectly.
For powder foundation, I apply a matte primer(Bare Minerals have their own primer specifically for their powdered foundation), then I apply a small amount of face powder to the face, I use a buffing brush again, I blow off the excess powder foundation, I concentrate on the areas that need the most coverage and starting blending outwards to the rest of the face that doesn’t need as much, then I apply my other powder products such as blush, eyeshadow and bronzer and then I use. I then give a spritz of Urban Decay all nighter or Mac prep and prime fix spray.

For powder you only need a small amount and just give your face a light dusting of it to set your face.

It cosmetics has the best CC cream I have ever used and as it seems you struggle with pigmentation, it evens out the skin colour but doesn’t have the heaviness of a foundation.
For foundation if you want to try, I enjoy the Giorgio Armani luminous silk (it’s very expensive but it lasts ages) and a nice drugstore option is the L’Oréal true match it also has the best skin colour range compared to other chemist brand foundations.
Ask for more tips you need x
I did an order last night 🎉 got some ROCHE-POSAY cleanser wash and moisturiser and an SPF. Also got the It cosmetics cc cream and night cream. There was an offer on at Boots, do I saved £23 overall.
Thanks so much again 😘

Spent £90 on boots today 😂 mainly my fake tan products but also got the IT girl CC cream, a liquid blush and a cream contour stick. A lot of my current makeup products are powder but I’m loving a more dewy, natural look so excited to give cream products a go!

Oooh let us know how you get on with the cream blush, I so fancy one at the mo 😍 just don’t know which one to get haha

What do you recommend using to apply the IT girl CC cream? I usually use a beauty blender for foundation.

I'm mid thirties and I've never owned any makeup at all 🙊 I read threads like these thinking maybe it's time to try but then I just feel exhausted just reading it. 😂 If someone says a "natural" look and then lists 5-6 products I'm like... But how am I supposed to get out of bed five minutes before I start work if I have to do anything more than wash my face?

I'm still bookmarking lots of recs and maybe one day I'll give it a go!

You get quicker!! I can do a quick look in about 10 minutes!

I’m looking for recommendations or advice on eyebrows products. I have blonde hair and I would say brown natural eyebrows, they are quite full and I get them threaded so they look natural but I feel like I could do more with them. I don’t want them to stand out too much haha. Can anyone help?

a tinted eyebrow gel would probably work nicely for you esp if you don’t want anything too obvious, just gives a nice boost 😍

I have the glossier one it’s good. Think when it runs out il go for the NYX brow mascara though - it’s meant to be just as good and isn’t as spendy

I find benefit products to be the best for eyebrows. I hate to say this because they gift so much to ‘influencers’ but their brow products are great, even if the packaging is tacky
