I’ve always wondered if they had sedated the kids and Madeleine was sick and choked (specially as one of the other children had apparently had a stomach bug.).

It was the "Ask the Dogs Sandra" comment from Gerry that did it for me......
It was the lies for me. At first it was "like eating in your back garden" then we find out it's through an alley and down a lane!
It was the leaving the twins to run back to the tapas, ringing sky news before the police, putting the twins in the crèche the day after for a game of tennis etc etc Im sorry no matter how many times someone says everyone behaves differently this is not normal behaviour for people who have a missing child in the circumstances they want everyone to believe!

But! This is also not normal behaviour for grieving parents who lost their child in a very recent accident they want to camouflage. If you take their behaviour into consideration, it points us to they knew Madeleine to be alive, or them being complete psychopaths. Yet, if they were THAT manipulative, surely they'd have been clever enough to not behave so suspiciously. Their behaviour in that circumstances makes zero sense to me.
I think they were very ashamed of their negligent parenting, knew it looked bad and tried to cover it up.
Cover it up with a tennis lesson as in "look, we don't feel guilty at all, we are so confident in ourselves we can even have a tennis lesson!" ?
Wonder, how concentrated they managed to play in that lesson.
Children shouldn't be blamed for their parents poor decisions and some sick intruder taking advantage of that
Is there a verified source they had tennis lessons in the days following her disappearance? I've read the interview transcripts, and I don't think that's true.
Or even possible, given events.
I don't like them, and they neglected to keep their small children safe, but there's a lot of untrue tales being told about them, too ...

Who's blaming Madeleine? Children suffer for their parents poor decisions. The blame is entirely on adults however, whoever harmed her.
And thought they would go unchallenged because they were professionals, and they had clout - and they werenarrogant.
And to a degree they were right. .
They ducked up, that is clear. But this weird merry ground of high horse does nothing to bring the key suspect to account, it just deflects from the current priority. Which should be to get this sorry story of a vile human CB off the streets and accountable for his crimes against women and children.
Some people have very big gardens, I used to be gardener. I imagine myself with a young babe again and once they were down if i had a huge old garden i would be right out there for a chill once the house was quiet. Doesn't really compare due to the public access of the apartment to be fair. But yes they ducked up, what were they then to do? Loose their twins too? I can see the irresponsible choices they made. No I wouldn't have made them. I'd have been right happy on that little terrace outside the slidey door watching the night. But, was the front door open. CB's modus was very sneaky and stalky, he was sometimes naked when he broke into buildings to thieve or attack, he loved the thrill.

We’ve been to Spain and Portugal for our last two holidays and my kids were doted on when we went for dinner - big family holidays of 12 adults and our 2 children. My 7 year old still talks really happily about being allowed to be at the “grown up” table and they are really core memories for her, taking part in the fun and banter and being with her family. I have memories of waking up in the bar at Butlins with someone’s coat over me while the adults stayed out, and was carried home to bed when they were done.
I think the thing that makes me sad is that Madeleine and the other kids were treated as an inconvenience.
I'll bet Kate McCann didn't leave her handbag!
