This was in the defence opening statement but it was as close as he got to saying he had evidence. It doesn’t say expert evidence though. (that I can find as might be more detailed in other reports elsewhere)

I’ve really felt certain he will but crikey that’s an interesting omission! Still think he is highly likely to.

Would actually love to know, anyone who has worked for NHS, why would the blood gas be disposed of (back in 2016 assuming everything was on paper)? Would this not be stored in the patients file?

I'm assuming all of the notes weren't online because of the physical signing for medications etc. So wouldn't this be bad practice to dispose of something so important? Would there be some other way to track the patients blood results?

Need to catch up a few pages, but was reading about the throat injuries.

Were the babies who had these injuries intubated already at any point? Or were they breathing in air? I was wondering if it would take a ‘rough hand’ on an intubated baby to cause injuries if that makes sense.

I’m new here, and to court cases, so if this is stupid - apols. Why does it break til Wednesday? Does this happen in trials normally that’s there’s a few days break between cross examination?

I found Dawsons Creek on ITV, tried to get my 11 year old daughter into it, she declared it was shite from the opening credits and now i'm balls deep in it!

Thank you for clarifying about chambers! Following this trial has definitely been a medical and legal education and I’m feeling smarter by just reading (some of) these posts.

Re everything else the main things swaying me from being fairly certain of guilt to absolute guilt is her blaming everyone else, having no memory of things then insanely specific memory of others, and all the handover sheets. I get it was years ago but from a (non legal person’s) point of view it seems v fishy. Either she’s the unluckiest person ever that she’s getting the blame for other people’s mistakes 17 times (unlikely) or she’s lying about things - whether it’s everything or a few things. She does seem to be saying “I don’t recall” or words along those lines at VERY convenient times. Like my memories from 6-7 years ago are not great except for key moments and babies dying or almost dying would come under that.

Also saying the handover notes were insignificant seems v heartless and just absolutely horrible, that’s a big thing for me too.

I think she's childlike but I feel like her upbringing could have influenced that massively. She's used to things going her way.

But I personally think that her only additional need is the need to murder babies.

We've already had the PTSD diagnosis peppered about, I think BM would've had her assessed within an inch of her life if he thought she had SN and therefore lacked full capacity.

Sorry, but can you tell me what the acronyms are that are beings bandied about re: Lucy? I very nearly had a psychology degree once, but it’s been a long while, and I’m not familiar. I know PTSD and some of the personality disorders from the DSM IV in the 1990’s. Thank you!

But late but Neonatal NG tubes are almost as thin and soft/flexible as strawberry laces.

Thank you Can I ask, would a baby have a feeding tube and an NG to drain the tummy?

No. They couldn’t be intubated due to the swelling/injuries already there

Just checked wiki for baby G. She had a naso gastric tube - does that go down the throat? If that was to be move roughly could that cause blood I wonder? And she had vomited - was this with a tube in? 🥹

At the start of the next thread can we please add in when the trial is currently expected to end just so people can see it off the bat, saves it being asked every couple of pages.

She is definitely getting rattled isn’t she. It’s huge that he’s got her to admit she was alone with baby D - she must feel like she’s losing control hence the break .

Am I right in thinking she can’t discuss with BM? Any legal people confirm?

Its hardly the end of the world if someone asks a question. I've literally never been on this thread and cba to read MANY pages.
