I have a family member who has many narcissistic traits, they mask it well, and come across as quite fun, affable, helpful, but a deeper dive and listening to the things they say, really listening to them, everything is about them, everything, always, how it affects them and them alone. They might feign empathy, but they're borrowed emotions. The opportunity to cry in front of everyone in that courtroom, knowing it would pack out for her alone was too tempting to pass up.
