So she is saying that she had a case of the bad mental healths when she wrote the note and that’s why she wrote that she killed them

She adds: "It was just me processing my thoughts. It wasn't supposed to be read by anyone

so she thought she had done it on purpose, she’s evil and not good enough … we believe you on those points Lucy!

She’s not going to cope well with a grilling from the prosecution is she. Can’t wait.

Lucy saying she wrote ‘I killed them on purpose because I am not good enough to care for them I am a horrible evil person’ because… someone insinuated she was incompetent.

bleeping hell. Skimming over the ‘on purpose’, hope the prosecution nail her to the cross on that!

This is an utter change of tune! She blamed all of this on how she felt others would perceive her.
Would be quite happy for her to stop bleeping saying competencies. Idiot.

Wow to all those who said she would give evidence and start the water works!

Is this something you have learned from life experience or is through a psychology/social behaviour/criminology background?
Both!
Pre uni, and from life experience it’s always made me feel uncomfortable when people cry when they are challenged. I had a friend who would tell mad lies, and if you challenged her she would become the victim ‘why would you say that to me?’ And burst into tears. Not even a denial just immediately crying and acting as if you were the bad guy for picking on her.
Later on during my studies I found that it’s a really useful manipulation technique for people with personality disorders - ‘normal’ people get upset when they see others upset, and want to try and mend whatever is hurting the person crying. It’s part of our empathetic response. So they cry on cue to get sympathy and attention, and to distract from the issue at hand (in my case, calling out mad lies)!
Letby exhibits all of the characteristics of a benign or covert narcissist (not diagnosing her just identifying what I noticed). It’s worth googling the symptoms and having a look, but these personality types are the most likely to cry, they do it to elicit attention, sympathy and also when they feel uncomfortable experiencing emotions like shame, or being exposed in lies. Which would make sense as to why she only cries when seeing her bedroom, her notes to no name etc.

Can’t keep up today!!

I actually think Ben might even be done by lunch time. Unless he’s going to go through each baby with her but that feels risky for defence.

She says her mental health at the time of writing this note was "poor".
She says it was "difficult", with the "isolation I felt", and this lasted "two years".

so is she saying her mental health is fine now and although she’s been in prison she not feeling isolated?
if I was in prison I would think my mental health and isolation would be worse ?
