Hi all

I’ve got tickets to see Harry Potter Cursed Child next year and I’m looking for advise on the best way
to travel back at night, we are staying at a hotel in Marble Arch. I don’t know wether it’s better to walk
or go buy bus or tube, sounds stupid but is it safe enough walking in london at night?

Hello! I live in London and was walking around near there just last night :). It’s a busy part of town and the walk back from the theatre to Marble Arch is definitely one I’d consider safe. But you could just as easily get a bus or tube (also safe). Citymapper app is really handy for helping plan routes if you’re not sure of your options

Yes it's safe to walk in London at night, although obviously there are precautions in any big city, not having your phone in your hand as you walk along the street (people shooting by on mopeds and grabbing phones from hands is a not uncommon thing). The areas between the theatre and Marble Arch will be buzzing when you get out (London never really gets too quiet). Assuming it's a nice night, I'd walk, nothing better than London vibes. But if you feel unsafe then take the Tube or a bus.

London is as safe as any major city of comparable size and population. You will be fine walking from the theatre back to the hotel, it’s about a 20 minute walk, and if it’s a nice evening it would be cool to walk that way as it’s through central London which is buzzing at that time of the evening. You could also walk up to TCR tube station and get the underground (central line to Marble Arch) that’s still going to be a 20minute journey door to door. If you wanted you could also just hail a cab to take you back to your hotel.

plenty of options. Decide on the day, but don’t worry about it, you’ll be fine.
