From the Reddit post ‘What’s the most overhyped makeup product in your opinion?’
I think their first mistake was dropping $2k on makeup in one go.
With every brand there will be hits and misses but, as others have said, you try the brand before doing a huge order.

I think her eyeshadows are pigmented. I love her lipsticks but I’ve never tried her brushes so I can’t comment on those.

Of the items I’ve bought, the ones I wouldn’t repurchase are the Elevated Glow - I can’t see it on my face at all, perhaps I chose the wrong shade and also the Kitten Lash mascara. I bought the burnt umber shade. It looks brown on the wand but it doesn’t look brown on my lashes so I was disappointed with it.

I love the metallic eyeshadows. I find the matte ones less pigmented and more difficult to pick up on the brush and blend though. Love the eye pencils as they smudge when you apply them then set to budgeproof. Love the different lipstick formulas that I've tried. Love the mascara. I bought the brown but wasn't expecting the chocolate shade as my lashes are darker. It doesn't flake or smudge so happy with that as well. Really enjoy using the liquid eyeshadows as a one and done or as a primer. I like the highlighter but I only like a subtle highlight so that might be why my experience is different. I watched a review of the nyx buttermelt highlighters yesterday and they looked like glitter so definitely not for me! I haven't tried any other products but I'm waiting to use up what I have before buying more.

I think Lisa is one of the more reliable and better brands and I still wouldn't shell out 2k. But then I gasp at the total when I'm spending enough to get the freebie bag 😂

I think the shade I bought was Pink Moon and it is probably too close to my skin colour. I don’t want glitter either.
I do like Natasha Denona for matte eyeshadows. Most shadows crease on me sadly.
I like that Lisa has different formulas for lipstick so I can go light or bold.
Love, love, love her Skin Tint. I’m still trying to use up my older foundations first but when I use the ST I much prefer it even though it has less coverage it looks better.

Ah I got crystal nebula which is a pale champagne type colour so that might be why. Good to know pink moon is subtle. I might try that.

I have a couple of ND palettes and like them. I've got need a warm and golden. I'm not sure I've tried the matte ones yet. Been into the shimmers! I have the bloom one in my basket at cult beauty just waiting for pay day.

I use Pink Moon but mix it in the foundation to make it more glowy if I'm going out or on the weekend. It's subtle but I like it. Anything else would be too much as I'm pale af.

I'm currently using a really lovely Bobby Brown powder highlighter called pink glow which gives a lovely shimmer I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror at work and my skin was glowing where the sun hit the highlighter.

I need to colour match myself for the skin tint I've not tried it and I hear wo many good reviews.

New video launching a new lipstick shade of the Rouge and I think her cream blush makes an appearance at 30:35

The skin tint is the best complexion product i think I’ve ever tried! I’m also trying to use up other foundations but I keep returning to the skin tint. I can’t get her foundation to work for me though. Love the shade range but no matter what I do it’s dry and cakey on me. I’ve dry skin. The skin tint is unreal though. I have it in two shades (for pale and self tanned). I’d re purchase over and over!

Same here! I had the sample cards of her foundation and I didn’t like the way it looked on my skin either so I’ve never purchased it.

I‘m T3 in Skin Tint, although they said T1 would work too, they said T3 would help cover some redness better.
I used some self tanning face drops for the first time last year in the summer. It was only very subtle but it did mean the T3 was a tad too pale for me. I think I’ll send them a photo this year so I can be shade matched for summer. Without the drops my skin gets zero colour so I‘ve never needed a summer foundation before.

I have the foundation in 10 which was matched in her pop up in Covent Garden. I don’t really use it as it’s just a tad too yellow/beige on me yet the website says it’s a neutral. Yet T6 skin tint is perfection on me. I save the foundation for evenings when the light it more forgiving.

Highly recommend the buffing brush for the tint & any foundation. Much much better than fingers especially around the nose area to disguise pores

I'm in my sixties; love cosmetics and always have, it's my one big splurge. I must have purchased from every brand available in the UK. Lisa's products are my favourites and have gradually edged out all my previous picks. I've had a couple of things that didn't work perfectly for me, but the quality is beyond anything I've tried. That bad review is absolute BS, I don't believe it for a second.

But ... I actually came on to see what you all thought of the new Society refill! It looks gorgeous on Lisa and the models and I'm in the market for a new spring/summer pink, but worried it might look dated on me ... like I've been using the same lipstick since secondary school! 💄

Is Society similar to the one you’ve been using since school (please tell us what brand and shade it is and it must be good if they are still making it) I’d say go for it if you think a brightening corally pink will be perfect for you for the season. Channel the lovely Grace Kelly and embrace it! Have you already got the case? I love the refillable case SO MUCH! (I have Romy refill and Lisa in the case)

I’m on a self imposed spending ban (unless Lisa brings out a dark navy eye pencil) so I live precariously through all the purchase on this thread :)

If anyone gets Society and has Pompadour and Blush Lightly could they swatch all three shades for me so I could see the differences? 🙏😇

Yes, I LOVE the case - I got it with Simone, and the formula is perfect  I've been torn between getting Lisa or Ashes of Roses next (trying to wait till the blushes drop .....), but now Society has turned my head and I'm getting the fear that it will sell out as it's so so pretty. (I too would love a navy pencil btw!)

I've ordered Society (of course, I'm a magpie). I have Blush Lightly but not Pompadour; want me to search just the 2 or do you specifically want the 3?

Those who've bought the pinpoint concealer...how is the use going after a few weeks? Are you planning to repurchase?

It would be so helpful (and kind) if you can post your swatch of the two!

I think I’ve tried everything except the concealer and the brushes. The only thing I really disliked was the cleanser and it feels like it leaves a film on my skin. And the blush, where it was so difficult to squeeze out of the packaging I thought it might actually explode. There are probably some things I wouldn’t repurchase but more because of the cost than the performance.

I bought Victoria Beckham navy liner, pricey but really lovely 😍

Despite sunscreen I’ve caught a bit of colour on my face. Have been thinking of the tint 6.5 for a while. Saw Space Nk had 20% off makeup and I had a £5 ndulge voucher to use so bought one today. Should tide me over for the summer

Here you go, taken in daylight (in my car). Weather is overcast. I use Skin Tint 6, but I'm very pale as you can see.

I did 3 swipes of each on my forearm. Society is a far softer shade and pinkier than Blush Lightly IMO.

As I say, I don't have Pompadour however that looks far redder than either of these two from my viewing of them online.

Hope this helps. If you want other lighting, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
