I'm like this whenever I have annual leave from work. It's like my body can let go of whatever illness its been holding off.
My son used to get tonsillitis everytime he was on school holidays. He was under the hospital for another problem and I mentioned it to one of the Dr's and they said it's when your body relaxes. Normally a lot of us are living on adrenaline with the stress of work etc and so when we relax on holiday it causes the body to become ill.I have this every time my husband has annual leave from work. It’s like my body says you can get ill now because he is at home to look after the kids lol
In all seriousness it is a bit of a nightmare because it happens every time without fail. Does ruin the fun somewhat.
They do say get up at the same time everyday. Also if my husband misses his morning coffee it gives him a headache. I always feel worse when I have a lie in and feel even more tired.Yes I do and I know that contributes a bit to it because I don’t get it as much if I wake up at the same time as a weekday
Do you drink less water at the weekend? I find that weekdays I will keep water on my desk and have regular tea brakes, but at the weekend I will have a coffee first thing then probably nothing else for hours, especially if I’m out and about then in the evening I’ll have a wine or something. That could be why you feel rough as I have to force myself to drink more water at weekends or I feel the same.Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else experiences this!
Monday to Friday I am absolutely fine..come the weekend I have a fuzzy sore head verging on a migraine, nauseous, lethargic, but it is literally only at weekends! It bothers me so much that I can’t wait for the weekends to be overI’ve read online about this so called leisure sickness, and I’m just wondering if anyone else has this, and what relieved it for you?
Yes although I don’t have it to the same extent as you because I still live for the weekend lol. But yes lying in definitely makes it worse as does unintentionally drinking less water throughout the day.Hi,

Not really! I do try really hard to make sure I’m drinking enough, but maybe I do need to be a bit more conscious of it!Do you drink less water at the weekend? also do you spend more time on your phone? Looking down all the time can be bad for everything from your neck to your eyesight which can all cause headaches.
Yes I do and I know that contributes a bit to it because I don’t get it as much if I wake up at the same time as a weekdayDo you have a lie in at the weekends? If my husband has a lie in he always gets a really bad headache.
