I finished my Christmas sets yesterday so I thought I’d post a picture of them altogether.
They’re so pretty!
I’ve had to split them unfortunately as I don’t have anywhere appropriate to keep them joined - note to self to make that a priority when we move in future
My son has a you tube Lego channel. It’s only small but he loves doing it. He has low level autism and finds Lego therapeutic. We have a houseful. I’ve got the bonsai tree the sun flowers and the orchid. I didn’t make them but they are on display in my living room. My favourite one he has is the Van Gogh wall art that you can hang on the wall!
I have found my place! My son and I collect Lego. We have spent probably the price of small northern terrace house on it and it’s all on display! He receives the big sets for Christmas and buys small mid pieces through the year. Our large ones include the big tree, Diagon alley, hogwarts castle, stranger things, the haunted house, we have all the modular builds and for Christmas this year he has friends apartments, home alone house and the Titanic (my sister bought him this one!) we sit for hours building and chatting and I with him being quite a closed book I find this is the time he truly opens up. Our largest bedroom is ‘the lego room’ and my husband has decked it out with shelving built specifically to home each piece. I think it is the best toy for young and old and it gives us so much pleasure.
I’m 50 yrs female and every year my dad buys me a lego creator set.
I have VW camper, Harley Davidson, london bus and Land Rover defender.
this year I received and yet to build a Porsche
what I really want is a Disney princess castle
My housemate got me the London Bridge one last Christmas and I really enjoyed making it! Would like to get more, especially the architecture ones but I just have no where to put them at the moment. Maybe one day!
I really want the LOTR Rivendell set. The new indiana jones ones look good, plus some of the disney 100th ones and the jurassic park ones are tempting.

I was gutted when Jay and Stani were eliminated last episode. Really don’t think they deserved to go over Jen and Jodie. Then they bring them back this episode in the build off twist… to eliminate them again! The girls aren’t anywhere near as good with their technical skills as the boys were. Such a shame as I’d have loved to have seen what Jay and Stani built in future weeks. I can’t remember what their names are and don’t want to google and accidentally see spoilers, but I’d like the two long haired men to win.

Wish we could get him over here to replace Ant & Dec on everything. My kids were desperate for them to use the Jordy brick
I only watch the Aussie one as I've seen the ratings for the US/UK ones and they are way lower. They Aussies seem like a great bunch of people.
As for my/the kids Lego collection, does anyone use the website "Rebrickable" to log all your sets? My estimated set value is £4617.50, but I don't know how accurate this is.

The Castle is from my cousin's collection, the rest are all mine. I was buying new sets regularly up until last year, when my sons became more interested in their gaming I don't know if I could ever bear to part with any of my old sets.
Oh I am so glad to have found this thread. I'm a big Lego fan. At the moment I'm building the VW campingbus.
Have lots of cars and Harry Potter sets, but also the Friends sets, Big Bang Theory and smaller Star Wars sets.

I love lego too, but the Harry potter series is my favourite, just because i still remember being 10/11 and getting my first set with a voucher from a newspaper as part of a movie promotion.
I’ve been in my minimalism phase for the past three years, so despite wanting the no.4 home and the advent calendar that comes out every year I’ve not actually bought myself anything. I personally find it so hard to snap out of that mindset as I'm so used to it now.
I love the Home alone house too, but the price puts me off £200+. It's the same with the Big bang set and the friends coffee shop too.
Not sure how I've only just seen this thread! We are both huge AFOLs! We have a Lego room in our house, and ive honestly lost count of how many sets we have.

My favourite build has been the big Hogwarts, I absolutely love it.

We have all of them apart from the first couple, and I think this one is going to be a really nice addition

For Christmas I bought myself the Home Alone house and i was gifted a botanical bouquet. My little one asked for some for his birthday and I rediscovered my love for it! The jurassic sets are so good for kids
