Thanks for creating the thread!

I don’t have vitriol or animosity towards the Leggs. To me, they are not even close to being in the same stratosphere of obnoxiousness as the Kays or the Trackers, to the point where I almost feel bad even mentioning them in the same breath.

HOWEVER. I feel the need to discuss them because I wonder if other people are seeing what I see. Their comments sections are a heavily moderated echo chamber.

I’ve been watching them for years, and over that time they’ve definitely evolved from a super-genuine, enjoyable, “we’re just doing this to have fun” channel, into the Adam Legg Loves Adam Legg Channel. I think it’s really evident that Adam loves hearing himself talk and loves having an audience, and the bigger that audience grows, the more he leans into a really showboaty, caricatured side of his personality that I find off-putting. I don’t think he’s a bad person, I just think he thrives on attention and the channel (and, by extension, Sherri’s presence on the channel) is just a way to enlarge the spotlight on himself.

I can, and will, go into more detail but I’d love to hear what others think. I have so many thoughts about the podcast, the viewer cruise, Auburn, keto, traveling to Florida mid-pandemic... so many things.

Adam is banging Amber, right?
Auburn! I think no, BUT, it’s super obvious she’s into him and I think his ego goes crazy for the attention.
He literally vlogs them going on what are essentially dates, without his wife. And what 25 year old goes to stay for a few months with a 40-something couple she just met? The vibe is soooo weird.

Just watched their Princess vlog. This was the first video I've theirs that I've watched in a while. And I have two thoughts regarding their stateroom:
1. Why does Adam need to explain to Sherri how the beds convert to twins? Isn't she the one who works for Princess? Shouldn't she be explaining this to him?
2. They claimed this was one of the nicest inside cabins they've seen, which I'm sure they're saying because Sherri works for Princess, but damn - the lack of seating in the room would bug me. The inside cabins on DCL have couches. I would hate to be in a room where the bed is the only place to sit.

I've been thinking for awhile that Adam is "in the closet." Just a theory ... TBD? 😉 Also stopped watching after their preaching about keto, the weird relationship with Auburn, and profiting off Disney with Sherri's Etsy shop. It's all major cringe! 😬
OMG! The Etsy shop! What a freaking joke - pre made shadow boxes, make up bags, totes, journals .... that she slaps a decal on! And many times you can see the decal is off center...and people buy that crap! And they only time she "crafts" enough to sell is when sister wife Auburn is there to do most of work. The keto makes me crazy - they obviously have zero idea how it works. They don't count macros, they measure NOTHING, and eat massive amounts of cheese, sausage, and meat - with almost no veggies. That is NOT keto.

I stopped watching them due to the keto bs. How someone thinks they will lose weight by eating shit like a calozone without the bread is beyond me. You are eating cheese for dinner! What is that! Anyway, I do like seeing Alaska, but Sherri is pretty uncomfortable to watch. I do like their cruise vids though, it's how I first found them.
The keto stuff just makes me sad for them because they obviously think it’s working and yet it’s obviously not. The thing about keto as a weight loss method (controversial in itself, but that’s beside the point) is that you have to adhere to it pretty much perfectly in order for your body to stay in ketosis and burn fat. Loading yourself up with cheese and bacon for a week and a half and then deciding to “cheat” with sushi or movie theater popcorn immediately takes your body out of ketosis and basically renders the diet ineffective. Watching them repeat this cycle is rough and they’re being way harder on their bodies than they realize.

Yes! Yes! Yes! To EVERYTHING said above! Should I say I love love love it?! I have NEVER seen anyone who loves to hear himself talk more than Adam! It has gotten so bad that he was constantly on Instagram live. The vlogs have become almost nothing but his face yapping and yapping. Yes, they do very nice things for their community, absolutely respect that. Seeing Alaska and how pretty it is - very enjoyable. BUT - I never want to hear them say the word KETO ever again - it's complete bullshit and click bait. He doesn't last more than a day on keto and I feel like he constantly derails Sherri from doing better. She did damn good for a while, was happy for her, now she has gained most of her weight back and she has a few health conditions that it affects. He claims to have lost 100 pounds and shows an old picture when he "was heavier" and he looks the same. I get it, most of us are constantly fighting the battle of the bulge but they really need to shut up about keto - they don't do keto, they do low carb when they actually do it.
Now, about Auburn - at first we thought it was odd, then thought maybe she was staying with them to help Sherri because she was having health problems. Then thought maybe he was showing her around because she was new to Alaska... ok. Then it started getting strange - even my husband said "WTF, they're on a date!" It is SUPER odd how much influence Auburn seems to have on the Leggs.... they are a 40 year old couple who is constantly listening too and going to a young woman in her early 20's.
I have so much more to add 😂 but don't want to fill the entire screen. Next up - them traveling while Sherri is considered super high risk during the pandemic, Adam being not so Mr. Sunshine in Auburn's vlogs, both Adam and Auburn making fun of other people and what they were wearing, their hoarding, etc.

I hope Sherri loves her new job and I’m sure Adam encouraged it for possible travel vlog ideas and discounts.

However, I doubt a big corporation will ever be as understanding about things like her travel and more importantly, her health challenges. From what they shared her previous employers were completely flexible with and supportive of her when she was so ill. This is quite a way to pay them back.

I haaaaate this. The elaborate ears Sherri makes are cute if you’re into that sort of thing, but I can’t stand how they try to rake in extra cash by simply ironing someone else’s logo onto mass-produced crap.

On a semi-related note, I think it’s weird how Adam kind of infantilizes Sherri. They seem like they’re happy together and you know what, God bless. But the way he speaks to her and about her often sounds like he’s speaking to or about a child. He will over-enunciate her name and use a tone one would use with a kindergartener — “Good MORning Sherri BETH, what are we DOing today?” And he goes on and on about how proud he is of her for doing some pretty basic things... like ironing the aforementioned stolen logos onto her Etsy merch, or like... speaking to their viewers at a meetup organized by them, because “sHe’S aN iNtRoVeRt” (don’t get me started on how hard he leans into the totally false stereotype that introverts have trouble talking to strangers). I appreciate that he wants to support his wife, but dude needs to realize how it comes across in videos. He sounds more like her proud nanny than her husband.

Here is what they posted. But yes this was per cabin so say an average of 3 people per cabin. Nonetheless just another set of "vloggers" who are grifters.
I just can't get over this and need to pick it apart a bit...
So the on board gifts were goodie bags - were there actually $40 worth of items in the bags (that the stans actually paid for)
The pre cruise meet up? WTF, didn't they stand on a sidewalk somewhere? How is that worth $40.00? It cost them NOTHING.
And who the hell pays to "do good"?
Monthly giveaways - what? Those messed up off center postcards? Crap that didn't sell on etsy?
Group hotel discount....your making stans pay money for a discount? What?!
Monthly newsletter - I'm assuming it's an email type newsletter - and that cost the Leggs how much to put out? 0$?
Pre cruise zoom call - seriously? Again - how much does that cost? 0$

Even figuring 3 people per cabin that's roughly 67 cabins which = $2,680. If they used all the money for the gift bad that's $13.60 per bag. All the other things on the list is just razzle dazzle and cost them nothing. It still feels really icky...

Am I the only one over all the posts about Sherri being in California? Again, they act like things are so hard for them and she just had to take the opportunity to take an entire week with friends in California because she needs it so badly. How do they have enough money and time off work to just do things like this short notice? Don’t even get me started on the whole “being proud of Sherri” for traveling alone. She’s a 40 year old woman and they travel often. Not to mention Adams “woe is me” act of having to watch the Super Bowl alone this year in todays video.

Adam overestimates how interesting their daily lives are, to the point where he is going to try to monetize every hobby/interest/activity he possibly can. They’ve made cruise vlogs, cooking vlogs, RV vlogs, vlogs going to Costco and Target, vlogs for every local festival, vlogs exploring the most boring features of random cities. And with each of these topics, it’s been obvious that his enthusiasm is directly tied to the idea of monetization. If there’s a chance he can make a dime by filming his AirBnB or his lunch, then by God he’s going to try it. Sherri, meanwhile, seems like she wouldn’t care if they deleted their channel tomorrow.

I hesitate to say this because I truly believe that everyone should like what they like, but… it’s very cringe that 75% of Sherri’s personality is reading, yet her taste in books is kind of shit. I listened to their new podcast which was about the books they liked best in 2023, and Sherri read over 200 books last year which is definitely impressive, HOWEVER, the vast majority of them are YA or the type of rom-com you find in an airport shop. There’s a time and a place for those types of books — I’m an adult and I read them too — but the fact that they’re almost ALL she reads is sad. Like, broaden your horizons, Sherri. Reading a lot is not the same thing as reading curiously, reading broadly, or reading things that challenge you. But go off and sell merch about how much you love reading.

(Adam, meanwhile, has really been shoehorning himself into the reader identity lately, which is probably why they did the episode.)

I’ve said it before, but Sherri’s personality in general just seems so unpleasant to me. She loves saying how she doesn’t like people, she’s an introvert, she doesn’t want to talk to people, blah blah blah… being introverted is not the same thing as not liking people, and it’s definitely not an excuse to be such a high-maintenance princess who hides from the world because her husband waits on her hand and foot. She recently talked on a podcast about how she has to travel for work and doesn’t even know how to book her own flights because Adam always does it for her. She comes across as needy, judgey, and lazy, and Adam enables her.

I get the exact same vibes from Sherri. They kill me with Adam going to the store and preparing all these meals for him when he’s going out of town. A 40 something year old woman can’t manage these things alone? Not to mention all the friends they claim to have checking in on her if he’s gone. He definitely enables her behavior.

I am extremely behind on the Legg's channel but I just started watching the video that Adam uploaded this morning. He's talking about how he recommends the Sound of Freedom. If I didn't dislike him enough already, this really seals the deal. I guess it's not a surprise that he's into Q shit.

I think they’re officially out of content. Their videos are so low effort at this point it’s pitiful. Nobody cares about them going to eat sushi again and Sheree getting her hair done for the hundredth time.

Maybe I'm being picky here - but I was a bit surprised that Sherri thought it was actually ok to put her damn feet on the van seat. Her dirty sandals and feet on the seat where others will be sitting. It was kind of shitty and well - came off as entitled. If she was aching at least kick off the damn sandals, gross, so gross. Again - 30 plus hours to get there, go explore a farmers market and buy bananas, grapes, and freaking oranges...nothing unusual or tropical...items you can get at any damn grocery store in the US

Nothing I saw so far made it seem like a luxury cruise. All they seemed to showcase was how things that would be upcharges on other cruises were included… like having entire bottles of booze sent to their stateroom.

Why the heck would you do this? Why not walk to a bar and have a drink and enjoy the ship and ambience?

Drinking a whole bottle of gin alone in your room isn’t luxury. It’s alcoholism.

I think Sherri really likes Disney. I think Adam has fun on cruises and vacations. I think they went a little nuts on Disney stuff when Adam set up their ‘studio.’ And when he thought they could make a bunch of money on her handmade Disney ears.

But I guess more specifically, I don’t think either of them love Disney, and definitely don’t like it enough to be Disney vloggers.

Cruise vlogging will be perfect for Adam as it’s mostly about eating and Sherri is sleeping or reading without him most of the rest of the time.

I am a legglife fan. Still subscribed. Still watch videos, though not as often lately.

And yet I am still happy this thread exists because oh my word, Adam. Tone it down dude. And so many of the thumbnails being closeups of his huge, fake open mouth smile.

Also, 100% on the Auburn thing. I used to believe they kind of treated her like the daughter they never had. But the relationship with Adam never comes across as fatherly or brotherly. The places they go and their interactions seem more questionable.

And Sherri is just a prop in the Adam show. He has forced his supposedly painfully introverted wife to vlog, podcast and Instagram. All so he can get more attention.

I will still watch, especially their Disney related stuff. I don’t think they’re bad people at all. I just think the vlog has magnified their idiosyncrasies by a million times, and that gets worse as the vlog grows and they see dollar signs from their work.

Remember, one of Adam’s real jobs is digital marketing and I see his work becoming more apparent in their vlogging topics, vlog titles, thumbnails, etc. I wish he would own up to it rather than still pretending this is just his aw shucks home movies hobby.

Generic merch advertising people who put their Target runs and boring vacations on YouTube… …oookay?

All due respect to the owners of that shop, but the graphic design on this stuff is not great. Why is “Friends” capitalized? It looks weird. And the whiplash of font sizes on “kind people are my kind of people,” not to mention — what does that even mean? The whole “be kind” thing is so defensive. Like they’re assuming everyone is out here just fully prepared to be a raging asshole until a tshirt makes them reconsider.

Also, their insistence on branding themselves as travel vloggers (which I’m sure they’d argue they don’t do, yet here they are selling merch that says “travel”) is crazy to me. The Leggs don’t travel, they vacation. And yes, there’s a difference. Going on a dozen nearly identical cruises means you like going on vacation, not that you like traveling. There’s nothing wrong with going on vacation, but they act like they’re some kind of global explorers when they’ve really just farted around Alaska, hit a dozen of the most popular cruise ports in the world, and been to Fiji once.
