I can't pretend to have empathy for him. I do feel sorry for his children who are innocent in all of this.

A doctor in the Lucy Letby case has committed suicide because he may have allowed her to get too close to him and passed on information. Yet there is no public outcry of sympathy for him or his family.

If Arday had apologised or shown an ounce of remorse then I would think differently but he would never have done this.

I have empathy for the people arday hurt. The students he lacked the skills to teach effectively, and who he called racist when they challenged him. The journalist who he called the police on when the journalist challenged him. His children and his family. But for a narcissist who decided this was his last chance to control the narrative? I’m sorry he decided to do what he did.

I think he should have lived and answered his critics with proof of his regret and a big desire to rehabilitate himself with honesty and hard work

O'Brien dipped a toe into the trans minefield today, took about 2 steps and metaphorically and instantly blew his legs off. Easy to do with these weirdos when you're talking about what's a man and what's women, he of course ended up giving succour and support to predators who want to access ladies toilets (who's going to stop them, are we going to have underpants inspectors) all the usual missing the point on purpose strawman arguments

You could tell how uncomfortable he was with the topic. So desperate not to offend, he took the topic down 'we need a referendum on it' .

The last caller described themselves as a 'non binary trans masculine'.

It's going to be difficult for Jobby to apportion blame for Arday's death. He will, of course, have the 'right wing press' in his sights but all the MSM, regardless of their political leanings, took pretty much the same line; Jason Arday was a lying fantasist who took advantage of those in a position to advance his career. I think he was already a prick. But when your a prick like he is, therapy doesn't help you, it reinforces all your worst qualities and makes you fucking unbearable.

It wasn't the therapy; that just made him worse. Brexit was the trigger. For years he was a pleasure to listen to; diverse, funnny, bit of a lefty but not obnoxiously so. His coverage of the expenses scandal was brilliant. Then along came 48/52 and tripped something in.his brain. Perhaps it was hormonal and Brexit simply coincided with the male menopause, but he turned into the tragic, obsessive ,raving loon who haunts the airwaves every weekday.

Oh dear, this is verging on creepy. Jobby has seized on the opening of centres for people with mental/emotional problems to talk about his own struggles. You can almost hear the quotes " " as he churns out all the stuff he heard in therapy. Any excuse to talk about himself, I suppose. He's swapping symptoms with callers. I'm off.

He is off the scale when it comes to talking about himself. He's always been like that but he's gotten soo much worse. His monologues go on for half the show. He seems to take fewer and fewer calls and gets increasingly condescending whenever he's talking too someone he doesn't agree with.

Racism seems to be quite a "hobby" with some people who have too much time on their hands. They seek it out everywhere and make it an issue just to incite anger and disruption.

Oh dear. James has made the DM after Mondays show and his ramblings about Nigel Farage.

Lee Anderson and Reform want a public apology from James for Hate Speech or they will report him to OFCOM. It's for remarks like 'horrible excretion… bobbing around in the toilet bowl of public life' and for calling him 'a skidmark' . I heard all of them.

I'm not sure that's quite Hate Speech but it is childish and groan inducing.
