Not that it makes a difference, but seeing his picture makes it so much worse. He was such a cutie. It's truly unfathomable that anyone, let alone his parents, could hurt him and just move on. Human nature is just inexplicable.
Yes it makes it more real seeing a picture... A child that was absolutely forgotten about by everyone around him . It's terrible

I posted this in the Missing person's thread but I just realised that it was mentioned initially in this one and not the missing person's one. They've found the body of the 2nd little boy missing from 2022:

The authorities only realised he was missing because the mother was trying to claim benefits for him: it's shocking that the mother tried to get money for him when she knew he was dead.

This second article speaks a little more about the background of the parents. the mother is from Africa but the father is Irish but lives in South America with his new partner. It says that they are trying to persuade him to come back home - I hope that which ever country he's currently in has an extradition treaty with Ireland otherwise there's no way he'll voluntarily come back to walk straight into a murder charge.

I honestly can't imagine how both parents just moved on with their lives. Same with Kyran's mum and other relatives especially the gran. It's just unspeakable'

Sorry, I forgot to link the second article:

Whilst there isn't a real update in this case, I thought I'd post this article which sort of summarises the situation in this case right now. I had wondered why the family had eventually concocted the story of Kyran and his mum being missing after leaving his grandmother's house in August, but it seems that they were forced to do this because Tulsa told the family that they were about to report Kyran as missing to the Gardai as they hadn't been able to locate him for months. So, the family must have decided to pretend that he was missing from August, only that story soon unravelled as the Gardai tried to work out exactly when he'd last been seen by outside parties.

The article mentions, as I did the other day, that Maguire's death now gives Kyran's mother a possible handy scapegoat for Kyran's disappearance, although she has not yet gone down that route. I guess without Kyran's body, and not knowing if it will ever be found, everything is still up in the air.

It really seems crazy that although it's obvious that poor Kyran is no longer alive, the Gardai are stumped as to what charges they can bring against the mother and grandmother.

He really is forgotten about. Can the mother not be done for neglect.. not calling for a missing persons case...she did get away with murder . Poor boy. Failed .

I’m keeping a loose eye on it. Something in the FBG thread reminded me of the poor little lad today. His grandmother and mother must be so unnatural, every family with a missing member is desperate to find out what happened and lay their loved one to rest.

ETA: being very careful with my words.

The whole case is very strange. The mother and grandparents, anyone who had contact with that child should be pulled in for questioning

Heartbreaking story. Poor Kyran. I am not local but have been following this case. His mother, his grandmother, the mothers partner, they all conspired to keep his death a secret. Bizarre. What about the wider family? I can't figure out the secrecy.
Did a bit of digging on Maguire. Dodgy character with a string of offences. Dread to think what he might’ve done with Kyran.

Does the mother know? Or is she just aware he’s dead, covered it up and doesn’t know how he was killed? Only explanation I can come up with that she was allowed stay in England and only taken in for questioning in Ireland recently!? So much we don’t know yet.

Were they all terrified of Maguire? Maguires are a gang in Dundalk too so maybe he’s related? Now he’s dead will they speak up?

Probably. I’d love to hear what the investigating officers themselves think, they’d have a good instinct based on interactions with all parties involved.

I think they’re trying to keep pressure on people by drip feeding the media things like the takeaway patterns and hoping eventually someone will tell the truth.

I can't understand it at all. Same with little Daniels case. It's a fucking disgrace they are still walking around living their lives.

Haven't people been charged with murder in the absence of a body before?

Some woman on one of the “Mas” pages posted that this is fake news. Took a lot of self control not to tell her about herself!
