If a whole trip is gifted or even parts I’m sure you have to declare it’s gifted on all platforms like any video to do with it?

I wondered this, she never seems to declare on Tik tok but then you see on insta with the ad almost blending into the background of the stories … her tik tok very much doesn’t come across like most of her travelling now is an ad/gifted, which I thought asa shows it has to be declared on any social media

She's done a whole video on the airport and flight now and it's still not marked ad but she has said she wouldn't be able to do it without her followers... yeah no tit because it's free

Let's hope she gets shamed on ASA like sevda did for not declaring ads. It's morally wrong because you're falsely advertising, being unclear so people will never know it was gifted. Not declaring an ad is as good as lying.

I think she knows that people will tune out if they know it’s gifted, it made me just eye roll and swipe past when I know it’s gifted. It seems like she’s trying to keep up the image from Thailand where it was genuine travelling whilst vlogging and creating the platform (i know they get money from the creator fund on TT), but not the typical ‘gifted social media / instagrammer trips’ (which is what she is now doing)

She will most definitely know what she has to declare - brands tell you in the brief what you have to include in the caption/ on screen, and also she has management that should make sure she does everything correctly within the ASA guidelines ...

So yes, reporting the content is a bit of a Karen move but it's the correct thing to do to make sure creators are doing their 'job' correctly x

She has such a big audience now and I assume it could be as young as 12/13 years old, for them seeing her going away all the time it’s depressing. But if they know it’s an ad I think it helps her audience understand she isn’t just on holiday 24/7 (she is lol) but that’s why I reported her. She isn’t transparent with her followers the same on both instagram as TikTok

There was another comment asking if it was gifted because they had seen her Instagram stories. She seems dim yet arrogant at the same time.

the advertising rules are there for a reason. Everyone has to comply with them. Misleading advertisements are not allowed regardless who you are

She will say oh I paid for an upgrade . Maybe she did at a reduced cost but when everything else is free

She’s not stupid. She knows her TikTok audience won’t be so interested in her travel content if it’s all an ad. It stops becoming relatable, so she’s trying to hide it.

It’s just like when she was pretending to be a solo female traveler, but was actually with Louis (think that’s his name). She was being so shady and defensive. She kept saying ‘I never said I was alone’ even though she was very much implying it. She’s doing exactly the same thing.

Exactly. She’s misleading with her advertisements. Her current trip isn’t a trip at all, it’s an advert. It’s the fact their isn’t event an attempt to say she’s on a gifted trip on tik tok is incredible!

Response already for ASA. Saying they will be providing her with advice on this occasion on the correct way to mark her advertisements . So let’s see if she does indeed start marking things as ad on tik tok
