She’s going to do a construction course - brick-laying, tiling, carpentry etc - because she enjoys it, wants to get out of the house more, can’t keep writing at this pace and is open to a new chapter. She doesn’t know for sure if she’ll go into construction work. She’s going to continue to do some writing like her newsletter. There’s a gender pay gap in construction services.
That’s the gist of her latest newsletter (I claimed it as a free post, I was also intrigued).

could she be more nauseating…. There are so many women doing both fashion and construction/interiors so much better than her.If she does it will be an ‘Instagram job’, maybe carpentry. Small projects then posted to IG. I cannot see her doing an apprenticeship/trainee role or working on a construction site (as most bricklayers would).
I think it’s all content. She’ll do one course and then be pedalling a hastily thrown together ‘DIY handbook but for chic women’ book where it’s 100 pictures of her in a doen milkmaid dress holding a screwdriver next to a project that looks like a toddler knocked off Beata Heumann.

Exactly this! Also if she’s sold her house are they gonna stay in their rental or is this all gearing up to them buying a flat/house and doing a proper renovation not just shoving sticky back plastic tiles and scalloped mdf on anything she can find.
Did she say they spent the money from the sale of the flat on the wedding, or did I imagine that?

Yep. I think there was an article in the Times about her groundbreaking decision to spend money they could ill afford on impressing much richer people in LA.
She’ll probably never see half of them that much! Those sort of friendships take a lot of maintenance! Better to focus on local friends with same age kids and also good friends you’ve known for years. I don’t think they have the funds to keep up with the international jet set
