Is he actually being seriously or joking though? (I’m still holding out hope they could actually adopt him for real somehow and give Dave a good home, I have a bit of a soft spot when it comes to adopting animals)

A real Qatar animal rescue organization commented on the Diary Room clip about Dave that was posted jointly by John and England on Instagram, so I think adoption is possible. Not sure if it will really happen, though. I feel like some Olympic athletes have done this before, but I know every country has different laws about this.

Tbh I think getting into the habit of looking another human being in the eye and being honest about my feelings has been (terrifying but) transformative. A long way to go and so many things to work on and obviously I'm still a mess but a year ago it would have been unthinkable to say some of these things out loud, even just to myself. A few years ago at my old job, we did a secret santa with a limit of £1. Yes, one English pound. Can't get much for a pound, but me being me, I scoured the charity shops on the hunt for something beautiful and unique. After some searching, I found a hand painted set of champagne glasses for 99p. They were gorgeous. I wrapped them up in tissue and gifted them on the day, and the recipient was thrilled. What did I get? Pound coin.
