I do quite a bit of interviewing, my top tips would be:
Beforehand, think through your experiences and work up a few ‘case studies’ that are relevant to the job description, so you’ve got a few known examples to use.
Also, research the company so you know a bit about what they do, which may help you refine answers and make sure they’re as relevant as possible
Use the STAR approach for answering questions - Situation, Task, Action, Result when structuring your answers: what was the situation, and what were you required to do, what did you do, and what happened. Remember to talk about your direct input or action rather than the team you were working in
Don’t be afraid to ask for questions to be repeated so you can make sure you’re happy you’ve answered
If you get asked a question, especially one around experiences, that you haven’t experienced or can’t think of a relevant situation, it’s always better to say something along the lines of “it’s not something I’ve got much experience of what what I would do in that situation is X, Y, Z”
And most importantly, be yourself
Good luck!!
