If you get behind the wheel drunk or high, you’re evil, regardless what happens you as a result. Thank god whoever was driving didn’t take some innocent person or family out walking, cycling or driving home, with them.

I had a family member that was killed by a drunk driver, a hit and run. He was left to die on the side of the road, all alone and in pain. It came out in the court case that if the driver had stopped and gotten help, my relative would have lived, he would have had some physical impairment but he would have been alive and his four young kids wouldn’t have grown up without their father and his wife wouldn’t have been a heartbroken young widow. All deaths are sad but when you know they died because of someone else’s selfish actions it’s much harder to deal with. You’re constantly living with “If only’s”.

Remember though at this stage it wasn’t a “ body ”. It was her friend. Who was still alive.

I thought the mental health defence only flies if she can prove she was mentally unwell at the time of the crime?? So what if she's depressed after the fact. Pretty normal thing to happen after you've killed your friend if you ask me

There’s no way it’s rumours. It was in the papers that the woman was moved. Him & her farting around the pub drinking is pure arrogance even if it isn’t him who helped her. His post about the staff doing a CPR course last week was in very bad taste as well.

Another post of his in the midst of everything going on, which was totally disrespectful. Regardless of whether or not he was involved he'd want to wind his neck in and show some respect to the deceased ladies family

Hopefully she gets decent jail time considering this wasn’t an accident leading to a tragic death and she was intoxicated as per the summary charges.

Isn’t it a disgrace that even though she was charged with being intoxicated, she has still been able to drive around between then and now!! It should be an automatic ban from that moment on

What a carryon imagine drink driving causing the accident that killed ur pal that was housing you only to be propped up in a pub drinking again a month later not to mind the accusation that both of them moved her friend whilst dying in the car. They deserve hell on earth.

The irony of checking herself into GF when she had the awareness that she was in the wrong and to ring someone.

Most people after an accident would be in shock and wouldnt be thinking straight but she knew what she was doing. For 99.9% of people the automatic reaction would be concern for your friend and to call 999 immeadiately.

DANGEROUS DRIVING CAUSING DEATH CHARGE

A woman charged with dangerous driving causing the death of another woman in Cork has been further remanded on continuing bail after appearing at Cork District Court this morning Wednesday.

To be fair not defending anyone, it is in poor taste, but he doesn't do the pub page someone else runs that page.

Well as the owner of the business he should surely have the respect to ask for it to be removed. He was quick enough to have his "statement" removed

People didn't even have to open their mouth for this to get out. Initially when the crash happened people had already pinned Bernard's car as being the one driven by Jen which was later proved wrong but then it came to light he was called and at the scene at some stage. I've heard from people working in the CUH that the post mortem that was carried out was all very hush hush and straight away based on the injuries of the lady that died people knew something was up. Her injuries didn't align to a driver vs a passenger and they definitely think she could have survived if she wasn't moved due to the head and neck injuries she suffered. If there was another lad involved with Bernard then he's a bigger fool as if they thought they would get away with it.

The gardaí knew from CCTV in the area that Jen was the driver so it was just waiting for someone to crack. She went into the Apache in Glanmire absolutely locked and then apparently went to Grandons garage to get more drink and they wouldn't serve her.
