For all the laughs we've had on here. Watching his parents at the funeral was heartbreaking.

This is what got to me too . I felt for the family but I also thought it was weird to keep the clothes he died in, in a toolbox/briefcase in the garage . Im still conflicted in a young lad died to the family monetising his death. They say they want the conspiracy theorists to stop yet took the payment off channel 4 to film Jay having an autopsy . Showing the liver was gruesome and didn’t need to be shown . His family would have approved that being filmed and given their consent .
I think they have enjoyed the attention ,reminded me of when Shannon Matthews went missing and the mother lived the attention with press etc.

I thought similar, there was absolutely no reason for them to show that. They could have shared the results just as easily without showing his liver and everything else. Unfortunately though, in this day and age if something like someone going missing or similar makes the news and coverage continues, it will be discussed online. It's an unfortunate aspect of the time we live in. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but it happens. I didn't really come away from it learning anything new either. I don't really know what the point of it was as beside trying to shut down conspiracy theories over all. Perhaps that was their intention, but they could have gone about it many different ways if so.

It’s almost as if they didn’t want it to stop about Jay and the conspiracy theories online by agreeing to film this documentary . It gave no new information at all and it confirmed they are rinsing as much money out of this as possible.
if they really cared and meant that , they should let the kid rest in peace now . The autopsy was disgusting to be filmed and the body under the white sheet. no way in any circumstance would I want a friend or family member exposed like that on tv . the cannons & filming his funeral in the church was tacky,
They showed him (or at least we were made to think it was him) in the body bag, they didn't show the full autopsy but the men were talking about the process and the injuries he sustained and they took a sample of his liver and we saw that in a test tube. They also showed them washing the equipment after.
Did you notice how she also touched on the gofundme to try and make out it wasnt something she really wanted or at least knew much about, yet she was happy enough to accept it, wasn't she?
Yeah! she was more than happy to accept that money! it’s such bad taste . I think its confirmed to me they wanted to monetise and enjoyed the fame
It was a very weird documentary im not gonna lie.
However seeing the videos of him at the end when he was 4/5 made me cry. Possibly because I have a 4yo so things like this maybe hit different because I have kids.

i Really felt for all his immediate family. The tackiness and the silly laughs we had aside, they’ve lost someone they loved very much and that made me sad.
Mind there was a video of someone being tortured but it was a pweirdo from Russia or something.

Admittedly, I'd automatically gone full Silent Witness in my assumption there. It still seems a little uncomfortable and unnecessary.
I didn't watch but from the comments, I'm not sure what the point of the programme was? No one here ever lost sight of the fact that the boy going missing was tragic and terribly sad for his family. At the time though, other social media channels did have some terrible things posted. Perhaps they wanted to highlight that. Unfortunately, that's the way of some social media but the family and friends really didn't help themselves with some of the things that they did. And, the bizarre circumstances didn't help. Obviously, they couldn't stop some of the oddballs that joined in...DTR
I'm going away soon, if I go missing, I'd be mortified if my family or friends did anything like they did. Mind you, it's highly unlikely I'll be off my nut on ket, wandering in any mountains...

Bloody hell R Debs has had me in bits watching this. I’m not a cryer at all and I was sobbing. Being a mum it hits different. My heart broke for them all. I did think they came across well. Still think Ayub and Rocky are guilty as sin of something.

I felt so sad for Warren when he said "I don't need to tell anyone what I think about Jay", at the end. I do feel for them, especially learning how they had to go through IVF to have both their sons.
I'm only on the first ad break but I really feel for his mum. No matter the circumstances surrounding his death, she lost her son and I can't imagine how that feels.

Exactly. They’ve exploited him in death. I would never ever treat anyone like that. My cats, never mind my children mean more to me than to do that. Gross.
