I feel like grieving and trying to make your ill self feel better are two different things. When my cat died I couldn’t have done anything, I just cried all the time but when I nearly died, if someone had done my nails in hospital I’d have been happy - i was then waiting to find out if I had cancer as well, and trying to just be calm for my kids and try and look ok. Your child dying is a huge thing, worse than being ill yourself and thinking you’re going to die because you’re thinking of how it affects others in your life and you want them to feel it’s okay as long as possible. There’s a weird peace in your own illness and a frantic feeling to the death of someone else you care deeply for - In my experience.

I get my nails done if I have to await awful news so I do it in the morning prior to me knowing the next test results of my dad's cancer or my dog or Cats operation etc.
I just don't want to sit about worrying and getting worked up and crying so I plan something positive just to look forward to something ahead of a negative situation.
What next? Zac, the brother, releasing the 'official' documentary? Special blue carpet screening for that?

So it looks like Millie (the woman who was with Cal and denied taking any money from the GFM) was helping out the family and being the interpreter for them, apparently she was tipping of the press of where they would be so they could get photo’s of the family, wonder how much money she made?! she was also sending private messages from Jay’s family around tiktok creators including Hayley Comet and was also sharing the funeral link to them.

I’ve been off here a week or two. Came back and saw the Jay Slater thread at the top of my notifications. Salad, Did not disappoint as always!
This song is played on the radio multiple times a day and it reminds me of Jay's mad funeral every time and makes me laugh
