It's absolutely sickening but this is sadly derived from what many Muslims believe about Muhammad marrying his wife Aisha when she was 9. However, this isn't correct. From the hadith and tafsir he actually married her when she was 6 (he was in his 50s) and had sex with her for the first time (grape) when she was 9. It's generally believed that the damage caused by an adult pen penetrating a child's body is why Aisha was never able to conceive in her whole life.
Yet if you are a Shia muslim. They do not believe that she was 6 or 9 and propose that she was older at the time of her marriage.
I also believe a 9 year old child is not fully capable of consenting to marriage.
The age of Aisha at the time of her marriage to the Prophet is also not mentioned in the Quran.
