Second this. I have a little routine... shave in the evening, then just before bed I sudocreme to calm it down (I always wait a few hours so it doesn’t clog the open pores). Then the following morning I go in with the “ingrow go” mentioned above. I exfoliate know the shower every day too and repeat the process. It’s not perfect but helps a LOT. There’s also a product called Ingrow Go that you can use to exfoliate the area every day to prevent them from happening.
Benzoyl peroxide is on prescription in the UK, this specific neutrogena product isn’t available here so I guess it depends on where the OP is based.I found some good tips on reddit.
1. Exfoliate.
2. Baby oil or shaving cream.
3. Shave.
4. Dry razor.
5. Out of shower, apply witch hazel, aftershave cream and some apply deodorant to stop it drying out/in grown hair to bikini line.
These tips were from strippers.
For ingrown hairs, use a product with benzoyl peroxide in it to draw the hair to the surface. Neutrogena actually have an acne product with this ingredient that you can use. I have it.

Exfoliate the area before hair removal. Then keep exfoliating in the days following hair removal. Use an exfoliating glove or sponge to rub down the area in circular motions with an exfoliating scrub. Moisturise after exfoliating. If you have an ingrown hair, try a hot compress and then gently pushing the hair out with fingers or using sterile tweezers to pull the hair free.
