Anyone else getting a bit fed up with it?

It’s not even just the Kardashian/Molly Mae types I feel like all the Mum/home accounts I used to follow/like are either crazy clothes hauls, over the top baby events (parties, baby showers etc), endless home/toy/other type of hauls. The home accounts seem to spend so much too.

Is it just me that finds it a bit crass/tone deaf?
Don’t get me wrong, we do okay as a family but the consumerism/showing off is next level

I can't stand show off types but all these instagrammers happy boasting lives are fake. Rather have my boring genuinely happy life any day.

You are not alone...
Way before instagram was a thing there was myspace.com and fotolog.net, happy people sharing a pictures and 0 QVQ business.

The kings and queens of faking it on Instagram are the trading guys and girls of course and those showing you how to get rich. Here’s the cashmeoutside guy aka cashmarketin aka Abdul Ilyas , a well known scammer from Instagram.

Him and his mates do fake reviews for each other, big each other up and generally keep this huge charade going. I only came across him because girls I knew were following him and believing it was all real. It’s kinda disturbing he’s not far off half a million followers.

Not only a fake but quite a stupid fake as well. One of his posts was saying he had a 4 billion pound yacht and he paid his captain 1 billion (yes, he actually said ‘a billion’ 😂😂). When someone pointed out that the most expensive yacht in the world wasn’t worth that much so how is Abdul from Bradford s worth that he took the post down lol

The cars are all rented, he’s even been exposed as sticking fake number plates on them to make people believe they’re his.

A lot of reality tv stars and influencers obviously get their cars on finance and when you look at their homes you can see they aren’t as well off as they seem. There are exceptions like some of the Geordie Shore girls and the Towie ones who have gone on to have their own series. Their lifestyles are genuine, but a little humility still wouldn’t go amiss.
