As requested, I've started this thread! I used to like her content but ever since the LA move (and moving back) she has become increasingly insufferable, shallow, and materialistic IMO. She also recently caught Covid after jetting back and forth between the UK and LA yet is now in Dubai, showing that she doesn't care about public health at all. I honestly feel like her view count has been decreasing and I think she's failed to mature with her audience - she gets called out quite a lot in the comments now. I just think her personality has become pretty narcissistic and off-putting.

It’s sad that she has no qualifications because she can’t really pivot from modelling/influencing right now unless she wants to forfeit her life style for a job in retail or hospitality and I don’t think she has enough humility to work in those industries.

I find it crazy that she didn't even sit GCSEs or anything. I remember back when she moved to LA the first time she said she was going to do online school but clearly that didn't seem to transpire. Is she basically maxed out at primary school level education? That's scary lol

The irony is her sister has a mathematics degree from Warwick (a really prestigious university for stem subjects), and India never passed GCSE’s. There’s no way she could get any job in the UK without them, so someday she’ll have to do them.

What was the mum even expecting her to do in LA? Her videos have always been bog standard hauls, makeup looks, q&as etc. Doesn't matter what country your bedroom is in to be able to produce that content. I wonder if the mum hyped her up and made her believe she'd get scouted or something in LA or if she just wanted a peaceful life and shipped both the girls half way across the world. I think she should feel really guilty for the state India was in before she moved back and any sane mother wouldn't let their daughter move anywhere for the foreseeable future, never mind try to peddle her into a modelling career where the industry is toxic like LA is. My mum still worries and begs me to keep in touch when I travel to another city by myself and I'm 21 so god knows how the mother felt letting a minor move abroad

I do think India is a product of her upbringing though. If you're being showered with designer goods and being told you're going to be a supermodel from a young age, you're going to reach a point where the novelty wears off regarding ridiculously expensive gifts. She's seen a lot for such a young girl.

I have never had an ED so I don't know if she consciously knew she had one when she was doing this but it was only a matter of weeks ago that she was promoting basically starving herself after being on holiday but now she's suddenly aware she was in a weird place... that is so irresponsible of her to promote eating just liquid to 'cleanse' your body of carbs. It also shows how she is not mentally ready to be a model, an industry that is so focused on looks and being a certain size.

And her mum is an utter nutcase for allowing someone as vulnerable as India to piss off to America as a minor to live by herself. How can she sleep at night?

I'm not going to lie, I think she is absolutely beautiful, I would kill to look like/have a body like her but she just seems so? lost?? She doesn't seem to have much ambition or drive to make more/better content either...

I began watching her because she’s beautiful but as I’ve continued watching her I’ve begun to feel increasingly sorry for her. It’s clear that the only thing she derives any sort of self worth from is her face and body, and it makes sense too because it’s all her mother seems to have put importance on. I remember an old video where her and her friend admitted her mother didn’t let her eat McDonald’s when she was a child and only keeps healthy food in the house. Her mother seems to have hated her weight from a very young age and hence has made india also very fatphobic. No wonder india has a breakdown every time she feels like she looks ‘fat’ or ‘ugly’. She thinks without her prettiness and thin body, she has nothing.
Also letting her daughter go alone to a different country with her sister who was barely an adult instead of getting any basic qualifications to become an ‘influencer’ is so incredibly irresponsible, and has just exacerbated India’s short sighted dreams of being a model, which will end once she loses her looks. I hope india finds a path in life that gives her genuine contentment and peace, rather than this soul sucking modelling/influencer career she is searching for where she barely eats anything and constantly obsesses over her looks and has not much else going for her.

I still think it's odd how she basically has zero qualifications - she was homeschooled before LA and it wasn't even clear whether she was even in online school when she moved out there at 15? I truly think this tradwife christianity era is her dad's doing. Ever since she got closer with him and going to Texas she's morphed into this ignorant ill-informed follower, reposting propaganda and pretending she has valid arguments defending her disgusting views. It's crazy to see her go from an independent girl following her dream, living alone (albeit a weird situation for her parents allowing it) to still living again her mother, preaching about God and doing a lot of nothing. And where she gets the money to be affording Lululemon and Le Creuset I will never understand.

I know this thread is mostly dead but I've been following India for years now and to think I once looked to her as inspiration is laughable. At every stage of her career she bottled it, got influenced by the wrong people costing her modelling contract and credibility. And here we are again seeing her influenced by ignorant family and 'Girls gone bible' (pls research them, its insane), turning her into this weird tradwife wannabe with no education to steer her otherwise. These are the people we didn't 'make famous', these horrific ideologies get passed through people with no other voices to question it. She's in her mother's house oblivious to how her tiktok full of contradictions and quite frankly bullshit arguments are fuelling a culture of violence and hatred and she gets to carry on with YSL and Rhode PR and no real job. Social media is no longer her job.
And if she by chance reads this, India, your recent reposts and views have been disgusting and you should LISTEN instead of deflecting and using arguments you do not understand. You look stupid.

Here’s a long rant because it’s been on my mind, watching India over time.
She’s in London bars every night of the week drinking £100s and buying extortionately expensive food.
She just got back from Japan buying Chanel and Japanese knives.
She said in her video she had to go into “savings” to cover bills in LA, but still stayed at a luxury hotel and went out every night.
My only question is…. how. She has no job.

I genuinely can’t fathom how she spends as much as she does as a young person in the UK during a cost of living crisis, and the fact she has no education at all…. it makes absolutely no sense. She. Does. Nothing. Can’t be her mother, her father contributes nothing, the only thing I can think is she puts everything on a credit card and has debt through the roof to keep up with those around her. Anything she earned in LA has to be spent, right? She must’ve spend thousands on that apartment and going out.
Every time I see her posts I get a pang of envy. She’s immensely lucky to have the experience of travel and connections she’s made. But then I think how unfair it is that people in this country can’t even afford groceries or fuel for their car, and she’s oblivious to all of it. It’s like she isn’t even aware that’s the reality. I wonder if she’s ever even asked Liv what it’s like to be a student in this country, budgeting and just trying to get by.

Honestly her whole situation confuses me immensely and is mostly why I still watch her videos, maybe one day finding out how this is even possible. I wish I was as lucky as her.

Just remember that while she may own lots of designer stuff and has lived comfortably in expensive cities, she was/is miserable. Like you said, she has no qualifications and would likely have to complete some form of education in the future when she realises she has no hope of a career in the modelling world. She had a rotten time living in LA and all of her money was probably spent on buying herself into friendship circles of people who couldn’t care less about her. She also has an eating disorder. Her father has been absent for the most part and I’ve made my thoughts about her mother very clear upthread lol. Their relationship is unconventional and volatile to say the least. It’s a classic case of painting a life of luxury on Instagram when it definitely isn’t the reality lol. I think if I was 15, I’d think it was so cool how she was allowed to go and live in LA with no parents and no school but looking at it as an adult, it’s just sad how easy it was for her mum to rinse her hands of her (I don’t doubt she was a difficult teen) just for an easy, quiet life and how stupid she is for not making sure her child got some qualifications under her belt to fall back on. I’d be fuming at her if I was India.

As someone who models I thought I would just comment on her modelling videos.

For reference I got signed at 16 so been doing this for 3ish years and represented by a well known agency (not Ford or Storm) and based in London. So although I can’t comment on Ford/New York first hand it’s similarish.



It might be abit unpopular opinion but I like how supportive her mom was in helping her with her portfolio, it did scream Yolanda Hadid though. It showed she really wanted it and worked towards getting signed when 90% of the time girls just get scouted off the street. (I got scouted at concert, tbh I don’t really know any girls who did walk ins). I also think it’s great she signed to Ford and left storm, it is a better agency by far.



The height thing I found abit weird. It’s a well known fact that agencies lie about measurements, especially heights which aren’t 5ft10/11. For example I’m 5ft8 and a bit but I’m listed as 5ft9 by my agency, if you’re 6ft/6ft1 you’ll be listed as 5ft11/5ft11.5. Then if you’re under 5ft8 you’re usually listed as 5ft8.5/5ft8, Hailey Bieber is an example. You could tell she wasn’t 5ft9 as she was atleast 2 inches shorter than her 5ft10 sister but I assumed she just rounded her height up to 5ft9 but when she said Ford were going to list her as 5ft8 I was slightly confused unless they want to market her more as commercial. Her saying she’s too short for runway is true for London (they want 5ft10/11) but New York it’s 5ft8/9-5ft11 so she has a chance, even more confused why she wasn’t listed as 5ft9 especially as she said it was down to her posture?



The ideal measurements for a model in New York is 34-24-34 which more translates to 34-25-36 but again models would be listed as an inch or two smaller, it’s only really paris I’ve found that are stricter and want 30-24-34 but it is always the case of the smaller the better if you’re 34-24-34 and there’s someone who’s 29-23.5-33 they’ll get the job over you most likely. She has good measurements especially for New York.



Honestly I think she has a good chance maybe not so for runway but for commercial I can see it. New York brings more opportunities than London so I can see why she’s moved but I can definitely see her relaying on YouTube for atleast 6 months and that’s if the modelling works out. I wish her luck and hope she stays healthy.

I agree with a lot that's said here. I don't think India even has any basic school qualifications such as GCSEs which is kind of worrying IMO. Let alone the fact that her mum encouraged her to move across the world at 15. And for what? Seemed like a very shallow and chaotic existence tbh. It's weird, I get the impression that her mum sort of lives vicariously through her.

Most of her content seems so insipid and uninspiring and lately seems to revolve around being a 'skinny legend.' I agree that she seems kind of lost. I wonder how modelling will work out for her. Don't get me wrong, India's pretty but it's such a tough industry and definitely not a guaranteed path to fame and fortune at all unless you're like Adriana Lima/Christy Turlington/Naomi level of beautiful lol
