Hi lovely ladies from Manchester,I need your help.Next year I’m coming to Manchester to see the Killers.im looking for good pubs, clubs and live venues to go to after.Im 40+ and an original Britpop Indie Cindie(lol that made me chuckle)🤢🤮.looking for places with similar ages to myself and good old indie and Britpop tunes(stone roses, oasis, the charlatans etc. Many thanks

Corbieres is a good little hidden away bar that plays indie / Britpop. It’s just off St Anne’s square in the centre.
Where is the gig? If it’s Academy or Apollo I’d go to Big Hands for a drink - it’s a Manc institution ! It’s basically a spit and sawdust bar near the Uni that is frequented by bands etc.
The Northern Quarter still has a selection of indie bars - Night and Day cafe is a good shout and quite large and also Gullivers which is further down Oldham St.
Manchester is great but the typical indie clubs are full of kids these days so I’d avoid 42nd street / 5th Avenue and Venue nightclub.
‘South‘ nightclub used to be better for a slightly older crowd and that’s mostly indie / 60s/ soul so maybe there ?
Oh and Mojos which is down the Salford side of Deansgate (bear the Lowry hotel) is always a safe bet for an older crowd and indie music !
Enjoy !!

A couple that haven’t been mentioned.
Albert’s Schloss - really good vibe, always has a crowd of all ages, regularly have live bands and singers
Impossible - deffo recommend if you like Gin as it’s a gin bar, again gets a good crowd of all ages
Mojo - more rock’n’roll than Indie
Good bars in Northern Quarter - Affleck & Brown (typical Brit Indie music. Very Oasis-y), The Pen and Pencil, The Shack, The Fitzgerald, Walrus, Crazy Pedro’s (they do AMAZING pizza)
Also, Chorlton area of Manchester has some great bars. About 15 minutes in a taxi from the city centre if you’d like to venture out somewhere less busy.
& finally I would definitely agree with above poster - FifthAve nightclub and 42’s are probably the most Indie places in Manchester, however will be full of students and underagers with fake ID:sick: AVOID
Enjoy your gig- Manchester is a great city!!

Fab cafe is my favourite club in Manchester. A real mix bag of clientele and music

Also YES but it can be a younger crowd
