Instagram are rolling out ad break for igtv starting from next week. Videos over 3 minutes long that people click to play will be eligible for ads - similar to Facebook ad breaks.

Might cause a bit of a surge in igtv content but Facebook platform ad rates have always been quite a bit lower than YouTube. But the slapdash nature of igtv makes it far easier to create content with minimal editing. Facebook take a 45% cut of the ad money - same as Google do for youtube.

Will be interesting to see where this goes
