I need help on how to overcome interview nerves….

Thanks. I’ve spent the last couple of days piecing together what I’m going to use and structuring it in the right way and I’m spending 30 mins at a time reviewing it, going away to do some housework, then another 30 mins, then taking the dog for a walk, then another 30 mins etc and it seems to be working. I’ve also been telling myself that the interviewers were once interviewed themselves so know what it’s like and that’s also helped.

Thank you everyone for your advice and support. I will let you know how it went on Thursday afternoon!

Don't forget as soon as you leave the interview write down as many of the questions as you can remember and give them to me so you'll be even better prepared next time should you not be successful this time. Its a points scoring interview, you know your stuff, you'll have lots of fab examples, you're going to smash it.

I didn’t even get to the interview stage. So I didn’t even get the chance to get nervous haha.

Ok it's different then. I did the tests on one day then got invited back for group phase then they split us into 2 groups, 1 group went home the other interviewed. 1st time I was there no internals made it through to interview. 2nd time all candidates on my day were external but same process

I've just noticed you liked a post on the thread, any joy on the job front. I applied for TM at LNER but they insist on doing a taped interview on the computer and I despise it so I end up bailing halfway through. Did pass my Train Driver assessments though

Hello mate - still in the same job I was beforehand lol! I do have an application pending for Apprentice Driver - they don’t seem to be in any rush though as they’ve not started sifting yet and I applied in March

It’s crazy how long it takes…
