A bit of a news recap I guess - they bought & moved into a maisonette which only has 2 bedrooms so one for each kid and Mrs K and Mr K sleep on a sofa bed in the living room which they pull out every night and put away during the day. Discovered loads of damp in the place which they didn't know about beforehand, Mrs K is rebranding her channel to have less hauls/shopping stuff and more remodelling and home improvement stuff. Christmas was exceptionally tatty. Never seen a load of shite quite like it. That 1st of December thing I can't remember what the huns call it (Polar Bear Breakfast or something?:unsure:😅😅 - North Pole breakfast?) - she really went to town, loads of presents and tat from Temu for everyone.
Same again on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - the place was absolutely stacked to the brim with presents, mostly tat. I feel sympathy for her bless her as I know she's had her struggles and- she tries to do things really nicely for her family but she just strikes me as so utterly vacuous and I can't STAND the way she talks (not the accent as I'm from the exact same place as her) but the INFLECTION. My God... it's so grating.. hard to explain but everything is delivered in that sort of 'pyramid scheme' sales pitch type of way. Due to this, I've unsubscribed. 🤪

ETA. - I live in a one bedroom house and have no loft, shed or garage space (just one storage cupboard on the landing) so have to keep seasonal tat down to an absolute minimum - I don't know where these people keep stuff I really don't.

What happened to the "I'm no longer buying tat" announcement from just after Christmas time?

  • A few bits from the Q&A to save you having to watch:
  • Her husband is a flooring fitter and he has fitted floors for Simon Cowell, Ant and Dec, Adele and Jason Statham 😅 😅 She said he's been doing it for 30 years - (she's 37, how the hell old is he? Or did he start fitting floors for celebrities when he was a child? 😅)
  • Says when she turns 40 she wants to go and work in a care home for the elderly. Is a fully qualified nursery nurse.
  • This is not their "forever home" - just for the next 5 years until her daughter finishes high school. This plan might change - possibly wants to move to Woking - hoping the sale of the current place will fund a 3 bedroom in the future.
